Hello, friends! I came home last night around 10:00pm from a business trip to North Carolina and this morning at 6:00am I boarded a plane to head to a client meeting in New Jersey. But, I love our weekly Grey's Anatomy dish session so much, I decided to stay up and watch the episode so we could share thoughts together this morning!
Since I'm running on very little sleep, this week I'm doing a Cliffs Notes version.

Last night's episode of "The Mindy Project" revealed two shocking truths: Danny's mom is a shoplifter and Danny is obsessed with "Top Gun."
Last night's episode of Grey's Anatomy was a bit all over the place. It was a strange mix of extreme patient stories, freak outs, fatal illness and shower sex.
The hour begins with a woman being rushed into the ER after her car was broken into. The doctors discover a tattoo on her leg from Operation Iraqi Freedom. Just as they are trying to piece her injuries together, they realize they need to do emergency surgery and her stomach gushes with blood. I am talking a geiser, shooting straight up.
Guys - for two whole weeks The Mindy Project was not on because of . . . wait for it . . . the World Series. I'm sorry, but that is why ESPN exists. The sports fans have their very own channel to spend night after night watching games. We, the loyal Mindy fans, only have one channel on which to watch our show and we were robbed of that weekly treat for two solid weeks. Not happy.
Last night's episode of "The Mindy Project" featured theatrics, fake accents and a black sheep sweatshirt.
The episode begins with the doctors arriving to the hospital to meet their new boss, Dr. Jean Fishman, formerly of Mass General. I love the way Mindy constantly works nods to Boston into her scripts.

Forgive me if this recap post is a bit incoherent, I didn't get a chance to write it until 11:30pm last night. I was out at a fabulous event and got home much later than I anticipated.
Before getting into this week's episode, I have to share a startling discovery. Did you know that the actress who plays Jo Wilson is British? She was a guest judge (with the rest of the cast) on "Top Chef Duels" and she had a British accent! Shocking.
"The Mindy Project" is without question that best part about Tuesday. Before this show, Tuesday didn't have anything going for it.
Guys, I am so loving this season's Thursday night line up. First Grey's, then Scandal and Parenthood as the grand finale. What could be better?
I didn't think it would make a difference to me that Grey's is on at 8:00pm this year (instead of 9:00pm), but it so does. I have way more energy when I'm watching and I notice a lot more than I used to while struggling to keep me eyes open. #OldLady
When I woke up Tuesday morning I was depressed that my birthday was over. It had been such a fun celebration and I wasn't ready for things to go back to they way they were - lacking presents and cake. Then I remembered something, "The Mindy Project" would be on. That factoid turned my frown upside down!
I got home from dinner last night and clicked through the DVR until I found the new Mindy episode. It was titled, "Crimes & Midsemeanors & Ex-BFs." Without even watching a single minute, I knew it would be great!
People often ask me, "Why are you still watching Grey's Anatomy?" Well, I grew up with the Seattle Grace gang. They were there during my formative years in college, during my "who the hell am I?" years after graduation and have been a weekly constant in my hectic life for the past nine years. It's less about if I still like the show and more about loyalty.
