The Mindy Project: Confidence

This week's episode was called "What to expect when you're expecting" in which Mindy comes to grips with her changing pregnancy body.

In one of the opening scenes, Mindy can't seem to find anything to wear. Danny tries to comfort her by saying she has that great pregnancy glow. She fires back, "This isn't a glow, this is sweat from exertion from trying to pull these jeans up over my fat ass!" Danny attempts to cheer her up by saying, "I know what would make you feel sexy. We haven't taken the D train to Seduction Junction in a while." HA! I almost spit out my water.

Grey's Anatomy: Winning Streak

Good morning, friends. True confession: I started this post at 11:00pm last night, so it may not be the most coherent you've ever read.

The Mindy Project: Forgive Me Father

Yesterday I was having . . . a day. I had back to back client meetings all over suburbia, headed back to Kendall Square for the late afternoon, left the office to discover it was raining, and then arrived at Harvard Square to see that my next bus wasn't coming for another 20 minutes. Not ideal.

Despite the crazy day, I smiled knowing that when I finally got home, I would cozy up to a new episode of "The Mindy Project." I was also excited to see the Stephen Colbert guest spot that Mindy has been posting about for weeks.

Grey's Anatomy: I Picked The Right Horse

Last night's episode of "Grey's Anatomy" began with Amelia as the narrator. As I've said here a million times before, I always notice when a different character's voice opens the episode, because for years it was only Meredith.

This episode jumped back and forth between two surgeries - Amelia operating on Dr. Herman and Arizona doing her first solo fetal surgery.

The Mindy Project: Failure To Launch

Last night's episode of "The Mindy Project" was called "Fertility Bites." Despite her gorgeous new office, complete with tufted furniture (my fave), Mindy isn't able to secure any patients because they all want to know her success rate, which is zero.

Mindy makes desperate attempts to spread the word about her practice, including crashing a Kris Jenner booking signing. She shouts to the mama bear, "Your womb is a national treasure!" Ha!

Grey's Anatomy: Night, Night, Tumor Baby

Last night's episode of "Grey's Anatomy" began with Dr. Herman as the narrator. Almost all episodes have Meredith's voice as the narrator, but she wasn't even in this episode.

The whole hour bounces back and forth between Amelia's lectures and Dr. Herman and Arizona's surgeries like a ping pong match.

The Mindy Project: Will Power

Last night's episode of "The Mindy Project" was a Celebrity Death Match, Mindy vs. Danny, in the battle to give up their vices. In one corner, Danny, addicted to cigarettes. In the opposite corner, Mindy, addicted to junk food.

Danny begins his attempt to change Mindy's eating habits by offering her steel cut oatmeal for breakfast on Sunday morning. Mindy quickly retorts, "It is 9:00am on a Sunday. I need eggs, I need waffles, I need four kinds of pig's meat! I don't need no bowls of oatmeals!" Love that plural on "oatmeals."

Academy Awards 2015: Best And Worst Dressed

Other than my birthday, Oscar night is my favorite occasion all year. We've had warm ups with the Golden Globes, the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Grammys, but this is the real deal. The big kahuna.

Even more than the awards show itself, the part I love the most is the red carpet fashion. This year there were some incredible stunners and some equally disastrous flops.

Let's get right to it, shall we?

Grey's Anatomy: Your Brother Is Your Sister

Thanks to all those who commented, emailed and tweeted last week to help me get to the bottom of the "mute mystery." It turns out several of you also had audio problems with the first few minutes of last week's episode.

This week, our Seattle Grace gang was joined by a new face, Ben's brother Kurt. When we first meet him, he is with Ben and Bailey, scattering their father's ashes in the woods where they used to camp. Suddenly, Kurt complains of feeling hot and muggy, then faints, causing him to tumble down the hill.

The Mindy Project: Little Mindy

Last night's episode of "The Mindy Project" brought back two old faces and introduced one new one. Mindy's ex Cliff reappeared in the office elevator and her younger brother Rishi crawled out from his hiding spot. John Cho, of "Harold & Kumar" fame, made an appearance as San Francisco drug dealer Big Murder. You know, because he "killed" it in business school.

Grey's Anatomy: This Is Not Just

Last night's episode of "Grey's Anatomy" was called "All I Could Do Was Cry." I don't know about you, but for the first eight minutes of the episode, I couldn't hear any of the dialogue. I could hear the music and the sound of machines beeping, but I didn't have any audio for the conversation Dr. Herman had with Avery and Kepner right at the beginning. Was it just my DVR being funky, or did other people have the same issue?

The Mindy Project: You Don't Slap A Slapper

Can I just say how happy I am that "The Mindy Project" was back again this week? After another massive snow fall, knowing there would be a new episode last night gave me something to look forward to during this never ending mother nature meltdown.

Last night's show was titled "Dinner at the Castellanos." Personally, I think it could have be called "The Return of Annette."
