Last night's episode of "The Mindy Project" was called "Fertility Bites." Despite her gorgeous new office, complete with tufted furniture (my fave), Mindy isn't able to secure any patients because they all want to know her success rate, which is zero.
Mindy makes desperate attempts to spread the word about her practice, including crashing a Kris Jenner booking signing. She shouts to the mama bear, "Your womb is a national treasure!" Ha!
It seems her troubles may be solved when Morgan's cousin Lou and his girlfriend agree to let Mindy administer their fertility treatments. In the course of that conversation, Mindy implies that she and Danny also went through what Lou and his lady are experiencing, which gives them more confidence in her abilities.
Later on, at the clinic's launch party, Danny gives a toast that is perfectly scripted to suggest he shoots blanks. This scene felt too predictable.
At the close of the episode, Mindy tells Danny she's ready to move in. He appropriately responds by asking, "Do you really want to move in, or do you just not want to clean your place?"
Next week Stephen Colbert will guest star, and Cristin Milioti (The Mother from "How I Met Your Mother") the week after that.
