Last night's episode of "The Mindy Project" brought back two old faces and introduced one new one. Mindy's ex Cliff reappeared in the office elevator and her younger brother Rishi crawled out from his hiding spot. John Cho, of "Harold & Kumar" fame, made an appearance as San Francisco drug dealer Big Murder. You know, because he "killed" it in business school.
Thanks to the painfully long commutes I've had recently, I've been flying through books. The one I just finished is called "Still Alice" by Lisa Genova. To be honest, I decided to read the book because I am interested in seeing the movie. Julianne Moore stars as Alice and has received an Oscar nomination for her performance. I feel all books are better than their movie versions, so I wanted to be sure to read it first, before going to the theater.
Last night's episode of "Grey's Anatomy" was called "All I Could Do Was Cry." I don't know about you, but for the first eight minutes of the episode, I couldn't hear any of the dialogue. I could hear the music and the sound of machines beeping, but I didn't have any audio for the conversation Dr. Herman had with Avery and Kepner right at the beginning. Was it just my DVR being funky, or did other people have the same issue?
Today we're talking about how to look your most fierce on V-Day when celebrating with friends.
Can I just say how happy I am that "The Mindy Project" was back again this week? After another massive snow fall, knowing there would be a new episode last night gave me something to look forward to during this never ending mother nature meltdown.
Last night's show was titled "Dinner at the Castellanos." Personally, I think it could have be called "The Return of Annette."
For someone who doesn't work out, I have a lot of sneakers.
My mom and I always say we have our fashion sneakers and our function sneakers. Meaning, we have sneakers meant to look cute and sneakers that are actually designed to support physical activity.
When it comes to kicks, my preference is always New Balance. My dad has been taking me to their factory store in Brighton my whole life. Currently, I have three pairs of 501s in my closet - black and hot pink, purple and teal, and blue and white.
Last week I was traveling for work on Thursday, so I wasn't able to watch the winter premiere of "Grey's." I've caught up and now we can talk about two week's worth of Seattle drama at once!
Last week:
In the opening scene of the episode Derek is packing to move to D.C. While he loads up his suitcase, he keeps looking at the framed post-it above their bed. Later on, after he's left, Meredith takes down the post-it and puts it in the trash. The horror!
This week's "The Mindy Project" was the first new episode in three weeks. I know.
Yesterday I shared with you the amazing work of Julie Mancini, the artist behind Posh + Prep. Now that you know where to get the best Valentine cards, it's time to talk about the presents to go with them.
This Valentine's Day Gift Guide is unlike the usual romantic, lovey dovey guides you may be reading around the web. This guide is for my soul sisters, the single ladies.
Now that the Super Bowl is over (Go, Patriots!), we can focus on what the month of February is really about, Valentine's Day.
Happy Friday everyone! Congratulations to those who live in the northeast. You survived a blizzard!
Today I want to talk about a book I finished two weeks ago, written by the one and only, Andy Cohen. Most of you know Andy from his Bravo TV fame. In his first book, "Most Talkative," he brings you on the journey from his hometown of St. Louis, all the way to his signature "Watch What Happens Live" clubhouse in NYC.
Wahhhhhh! I am currently traveling for work, which means I won't be able to watch "Grey's" tonight and share my thoughts with you.
