Shop: Galentine's Day Style On ModCloth

All month long we've been talking about how to embrace your singledom on Valentine's Day. First with the best cards for your BFFs from Posh + Prep and then with the Single Ladies Gift Guide.

Today we're talking about how to look your most fierce on V-Day when celebrating with friends.

The winter we've been having here in Boston has been absolutely brutal. It's freezing, it's windy and the snow, ice and slush on the ground are threatening to ruin all your favorite boots. There's only one solution to this fashion conundrum - layers!

Layered Style with ModCloth

Together with my friends at ModCloth, I've put together a few options for you to stay cozy yet stylish on February 14th. Personally, I'll be co-hosting a Galentine's Day party.

Before I dive into the outfit details, if you aren't already a ModCloth shopper, you need to check it out. Not only do they have an incredible selection of apparel, but they have the most active customer community. These women post detailed reviews of products including height, weight, cup size and photos. Praise the photos! I can't tell you how many times those reviews pointed me in exactly the right direction. In fact, mostly recently I wore a ModCloth dress to the rehearsal dinner for my sister's wedding.

Ok, back to the outfit!

The key to this look is the layers. It all starts with a pop of red with the ModCloth Hello, Bow! top. Then, add their Charter School cardigan.

If you need another layer, or a thicker layer, I've handpicked three different sweater options from ModCloth's expansive collection.

First, I love the neutral tones of the Snuggle Up cardigan. The gray with white trim is very subtle and versatile. Also, it's called the Snuggle Up cardigan. If that isn't good mojo, I don't know what is.

If you want a dash of V-day heart pizazz, the Nothing but Love cardigan is black with an adorable red heart pattern. For a heart design that's a bit more understated, go for the Love Comes Easily cardigan.

With these key pieces selected, you can mix and match any of these tops with dark jeans and a killer pair of heels. It goes without saying that you wear your UGGs on the way over, and then change once safely in the doorway of your party location.

Naturally, I've also picked out two pairs of bling bling studs.

Lastly, since Galentine's Day is all about indulging with friends, I've included an amazing Wonder Woman mug  for your coffee, tea or cocoa, and a Crumbs red velvet cupcake.

The best part of these looks? All the ModCloth items are under $50 dollars a piece.

Tell me, which of these Galentine's Day inspired items is your favorite?
