Last week I was traveling for work on Thursday, so I wasn't able to watch the winter premiere of "Grey's." I've caught up and now we can talk about two week's worth of Seattle drama at once!
Last week:
In the opening scene of the episode Derek is packing to move to D.C. While he loads up his suitcase, he keeps looking at the framed post-it above their bed. Later on, after he's left, Meredith takes down the post-it and puts it in the trash. The horror!
This week's "The Mindy Project" was the first new episode in three weeks. I know.
Wahhhhhh! I am currently traveling for work, which means I won't be able to watch "Grey's" tonight and share my thoughts with you.
Last night was the Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG for short). What's special about the SAG Awards is that the winners are determined by fellow actors. There's no stuffy academy, just a group of their peers.
Over the holiday break in December, my mom and I watched all of the Amazon Prime series "Transparent" in two days. Every time I go home to visit my parents, my mom and I usually spent 60-90 minutes arguing over what to watch. By the time we agree, we're too tired to stay awake. So when we discovered that we both had read about and were interested in seeing "Transparent," it felt like a Hanukkah miracle.
Last night's episode of "The Mindy Project" was called "San Francisco Bae." See what they did there?
Last night the 2015 awards show season kicked off with the Golden Globes. In my opinion, The Globes is the best awards show for two reasons: 1) it honors both television and movies, so you get to see all your favorite stars and 2) it's live, meaning that anything can happen and the cameras will catch it (go slow on that Moet, folks).
The Mindy Project returned last night with a new episode for the new year. All is now right in the world.
I love The Mindy Project team for coming right back in the first week of January, instead of waiting until the end of the month like our friends over at ABC (ahem, Shonda).
Last night's episode was titled "Stanford" and chronicled Mindy's first days at her new fellowship. Danny flies out to California with Mindy to help her get settled.
Last night, two of my favorite things converged - "Save the Last Dance" and "The Mindy Project" - when actress Julia Stiles guest starred as a doctor friend of Danny's named Jessica.
Hello fellow Mindy loyalists! On Sunday night I watched this week's episode of "The Newsroom" with my parents (I had never seen it before) and discovered that Danny Castellano is on that show too! Well, in real life he's known as Chris Messina, but when I saw him, I shouted at the TV, "Danny's on this show?" I felt like he was cheating on us!
Last week I was traveling for work so I couldn't share a recap with you. This week, you get a double dose!
Last week:
Before I get into last night's episode of The Mindy Project, let's discuss how FOX ordered another six episodes, which will bring this season to 21 episodes total!
Also, if you aren't following @mindykaling on Instagram, she is posting the most amazing photos from their shoot in San Francisco this week.
This week's episode was titled "Diary of a mad Indian woman" in which Danny uncovers Mindy's diary. Apparently Mindy likes to compare Danny's body parts to foods like hot dogs and empanadas.
