Read: Grace - A Memoir

Grace Coddington, the creative director of Vogue magazine, had always flown a bit under the radar. Despite her wild, fiery red hair, she kept a low profile. That is until she was featured in the documentary The September Issue. In her memoir, Grace, she talks about being super resistant to being involved in the shoot. She writes:

Explore: Revere Beach Sand Sculpting Festival

If you're new to Beantown and you Google "beaches near Boston" the first place that will come up is Revere Beach. Though it's closest to Boston (and fun fact, it is the oldest public beach in America), locals often flock to the north shore to Good Harbor or Cranes, or to the south shore to Nantasket or Singing Beach. Though it is often overlooked, there is one weekend when Revere Beach is the absolute must-visit waterfront destination and that is during the International Sand Sculpting Festival.

Rental Review: The Martian

I am embarrassed to admit this, but I really love Redbox. Even though I have Netflix (streaming + DVDs), Amazon Video and I get movies on demand through RCN, sometimes I just decide that I want to watch a specific movie and I want to watch it right away. If it's not available to stream, often it's available just two minutes away at the Redbox at Star Market on Mount Auburn Street. Each rental is only $1.50, which really can't be beat.

Rockport Challenge: Summer Friday Style

The first time I ever stepped into a pair Rockport of shoes was in the summer of 2014. I was in awe of how comfortable they were.

The first time I decided to wear a pair to work I thought, "Surely this cloud feeling can't last. I bet by noon I'll be in pain." Well, lunch time came and went and I still felt great. Then before I knew it I was driving home and my feet felt as supported and free as they did at 7:30am. Rockport shoes are the real deal.

Read: Big Little Lies

My friend Stephanie, author of Kissing Frogs and Fish In The Sea, devours books. I think she reads two or three books per week (at least that's how it feels to me).

Read + Giveaway: Fish In The Sea

My friend Stephanie has a wild imagination. Every night she has crazy dreams which I am certain is due to her boundless creativity. During her waking hours she puts those brilliant thoughts and ideas on paper which has resulted in four books.

Stay: Element Boston Seaport

During my stay at the Aloft Boston Seaport I also had the chance to tour Element Boston Seaport, a fellow Starwood Hotel property. Aloft and Element share a driveway, but they each have very distinct personalities.

Stay: Aloft Boston Seaport

When I graduated from college in the spring of 2006 my very first job was at Fidelity Investments in the Seaport. At the time, that area was very . . . sparse. There were the three World Trade Center buildings, the Seaport Hotel (and more importantly, its lobby bar, Aura), a place called the Seaport Bar & Grille (now Atlantic Beer Garden), Anthony's Pier 4 and LTK. That's it. The entire rest of Seaport Blvd was parking lots.

Explore: The Bean

Chicago is known for many things - it's nickname (The Windy City), Wrigley Field, Lake Michigan, the Sears Tower, deep dish pizza - but perhaps the most recognizable place in Chicago over the past 10 years has been the Bean.

Explore: Wendella Boats Architecture Tour

My father is an architect and for several years he was working on a project in Chicago. For those three years he traveled to the job site every other week to supervise. On one of his trips my mother tagged along and over the weekend they went on the architecture boat tour. They absolutely loved it and when I told them I was planning a trip to Chicago, they insisted I make time to do it.

Explore: Wrigley Field

As soon as I made the decision to travel to Chicago, I knew I had to see Wrigley Field. Growing up in Boston, we're pretty spoiled getting to watch our home team play in the oldest ball park in America (Fenway opened in 1912). Chicago natives feel that same pride, as Wrigley Field was the second of the nation's ball parks, opening its doors in 1914.
