Sugar Fix: Koryodang

On my final night in the Big Apple, after a delicious Italian feast at Nizza, my friend took me into Koryodang in Korea Town for dessert.

Dining Out: Nizza

On my last night in New York City I met up with three of my closest childhood friends at Nizza on the corner of 45th Street and 9th Avenue.

Dining Out: Madison & Vine

After our last work day in New York City last week we decided to toast to a job well done at a bar we had seen across the street from our hotel.

Our interest was piqued on our first day in the city when we walked toward the subway and spotted this restaurant which was bustling with people at both the bar and their outdoor tables.

Dining Out: Dos Caminos

The first time I went to Dos Caminos was my senior year of college. One of my high school friends was a theater major at NYU and he was starring in their production of "Into the Woods." After the show we went to Dos Caminos to celebrate his stellar performance. This was before the blog existed (gasp!) so when I re-visited the restaurant last week with my co-workers, I wanted to be sure to capture it.

Dining Out: The Real Deal

Yesterday I had the most wonderful afternoon bopping around Centre Street in Jamaica Plain with my mom and my aunt. The sun was shining, there was a light spring breeze and we had our wallets at the ready for shopping.

We started at our favorite gift store, On Centre. There was a rack out front marked "All items 50% off." On the rack I found a fantastic, black party dress. I also left the store about twenty minutes later with birthday gifts for three friends.

Dining Out: The Painted Burro

A few months ago all of the Boston food and restaurant blogs started reporting that the owners of Davis Square's Posto were planning to open a Mexican restaurant a few store fronts away in the space formerly occupied by Gargoyles on the Square.

About three weeks ago the Posto crew opened their new baby, the Painted Burro ("burro" means donkey in Spanish). On Monday night I went with three of my favorite girls to check it out. This adventure combined three of my favorite things: trying a new restaurant, guacamole and tequila!

Dining Out: Miracle Of Science

First of all, thank you to everyone who read my Gossip Girl review and informed me that Cedric the cabbage patch kid is not only not a new character, but he appeared as early as season one! What would I do without you, readers?

Dining Out: Mistral

Other than awards season, my favorite time of year is the four weeks when the city's best restaurants open their doors for Restaurant Week. I've been traveling so much that I was afraid I might not be in town to enjoy a meal this cycle, but thankfully I was able to squeeze one in!

Dining Out: Landmarc

Earlier this week I was in New York City for work and after attending an evening event my co-worker, her friend and I went in search of some dinner.

It was already after 10:00pm so we put our heads together to try and think of places that would put us back near our hotel. My co-worker's friend suggested a place called Landmarc in the Time Warner Center.

For me there is no greater thrill than trying a new restaurant.

Sugar Fix: Southern Candymakers

I can't believe it's time for my last NOLA post! I've had such a great time re-living this trip with you.

On our final day in NOLA, after the St. Charles Street trolley car, a healthy brunch at Meals from the Heart Cafe and a super, sugar rush at Cafe du Monde, what did we need? More sugar, of course!
