I have been to Rosa Mexicano in both New York City and Miami and I literally jumped for joy when I read the franchise would be opening a location in Boston!
On a rainy night last week I walked with a friend, hood up, from the Financial District over the bridge to the Seaport on a quest for Rosa Mexicano's tableside guacamole. The first ever Boston location is now open at 155 Seaport Blvd in the World Trade Center West building.

For months I have been hearing about the opening of chef Patricia Yeo's new restaurant, Moksa. The buzz started in the fall with reports that the chef, formerly of Ginger Park and Om, was planning a personal venture in Cambridge. Bit by bit, the details came to light - the place would be in Central Square, the menu would feature Asian food served tapas style, and finally, it would open in March.
Over the past few years Kendall Square in Cambridge has experienced an explosion of restaurants. I've been keeping my eye on the new hot spots, however Kendall isn't really convenient for me to get to from home or from work.

I have been wanting to go to Saus on Union Street in the Faneuil Hall area since it first opened. A place that specializes in Belgian frites and waffles? What's not to love about that?
Saus is located on Union Street right next door to the Union Oyster House and the Bell in Hand. Genius location for a place that serves fried food.
For the past year all of my friends who live downtown have been telling me I need to try the Paramount in Beacon Hill for brunch. Though I am certainly interested and would love to check it out, I actually wound up trying the Paramount's new, second location in South Boston first!
