Dining Out: O Face Doughnuts

Any business that decides on #ShowUsYourOFace as their official hashtag, is one I can get behind.

Dining Out: The Breakfast Club

Remember when it snowed on Sunday? (Sorry to bring up that painful memory). Instead of hibernating inside beneath a fleece blanket, I headed out to Allston's The Breakfast Club, a place I had been wanting to try since last December when a friend shared an Instagram photo of their peppermint hot chocolate, which was garnished with a candy cane. What can I say? I'm a sucker for packaging.

My friend and I arrived at 1:00pm and there was still a line out the door. The brunch rush at The Breakfast Club is crazy!

Dining Out: Slipstream

For the past week I've been sharing with you my foodie tour of Washington D.C. On my last night in town I got to be part of one of the coolest dining out experiences I've ever had. Thanks to my friend (and hostess for the weekend), we were invited to a small, intimate dinner at a soon-to-be opened restaurant called Slipstream. On that Sunday evening, we sat at a table with the co-owners, their siblings and a few friends for a full tasting of their entire dinner menu. At the time, the restaurant was planning to open five days later.

Dining Out: Farmers Fishers Bakers

There are no sweeter words than, "All you can eat brunch." If you've been reading this blog for a while, you know I live for brunch. When I was in Washington D.C. over Columbus Day weekend, my friend made us a reservation at a place called Farmers Fishers Bakers in Georgetown.

It was a cold and rainy day, but even through the sheets of rain I could tell how lovely their outdoor patio would be in the warm weather.

Dining Out: Alba Osteria

In my last post I shared with you that I spent Columbus Day weekend in Washington D.C., my first trip there in over six years! Though I was excited to be back in our nation's capital, it rained for my entire visit. As such, we spent a lot of time shopping and dining out. Or rather, ducking in and out of buildings.

On my second night in town we had dinner at an Italian restaurant called Alba Osteria. It was a short walk from the Chinatown Metro station. From the street you could see the pops of orange from the banquettes and chairs inside.

Dining Out: Hotel Tabard Inn

In college, I used to travel to Washington D.C. once or twice a year to visit one of my best friends. When he stayed there post-graduation, I continued my annual visits. When he finally left our nation's capital to move to New York, I never went back.

Over Columbus Day weekend I returned to D.C. for the first time since 2008! I was lucky enough to spend the weekend with two sets of friends, each eager to show me their favorite places.

Dining Out: Parla

For the last few months I've had a new North End restaurant on my "must-try" list, Parla on Hanover Street. In typical Molly fashion, I became obsessed with it because of one flashy decor item - it's marquee letter sign.

Dining Out: Earls Kitchen & Bar

On Monday I shared with you my review of the movie "Gone Girl," which I saw at the brand spankin' new Assembly Row theater. If you haven't been yet - you must!

What I didn't get to say on Monday, but I am thrilled to tell you now, is that before the movie we tried one of Assembly Row's newest arrivals, Earls Kitchen & Bar.

The restaurant is located just steps beyond the new J.P. Licks, overlooking the Mystic River.

Dining Out: Anna's Taqueria

Those who have been reading this blog for a long time know I am a huge fan of Anna's Taqueria. I've talked about their famous burritos, attended their Celebrity Burrito Roller Showdown and helped spread the word about their Walqueria to support charity. Last night, we took our relationship to the next level when Anna's let me in on a little secret . . .  their off menu nachos.

Dining Out: Rosebud American Kitchen & Bar

When I first graduated from college I had a ton of friends who lived in Davis Square. I used to spend every weekend bopping around those bars and restaurants. One late night I stumbled into the Rosebud diner with a friend. I can't remember what we ate for dinner, but I do remember we each ordered a slice of pie (a la mode, of course) and when the check came, there was no pie listed. From that night on, Rosebud would be known as the home of free pie.

Dining Out: La Brasa

Every now and again a new restaurant explodes onto the scene in Boston. It opens to rave reviews and the hype builds until all of your friends are talking about it, checking in there and posting photos of their meals on Instagram.

This summer, that restaurant is La Brasa in Somerville.

After weeks of hearing about the new East Somerville watering hole, I grabbed one of my favorite dining out pals to experience it for ourselves.

La Brasa is located on Broadway, right off 93 and McGrath Highway.

Dining Out: The Beach Plum

I can't wrap my head around the fact that this coming weekend is Labor Day weekend. Where did summer go? I don't know about you, but I am trying to squeeze in as much time outdoors, on the water and at the beach as I possibly can before that famous New England fall weather starts blowing in.

In the spirit of savoring summer, last weekend I drove up to Rye, NH with one of my BFFs for a girls only beach day.
