Dining Out: Mexican Passover At Rosa Mexicano

On Monday night at sundown the Jewish holiday of Passover began. Traditionally, families observing the holiday gather together around a dining room table to retell the story of the Jewish people's exodus from Egypt. The holiday is most commonly recognized by it's primary food, matza.

This year Passover began the day after my sister's wedding. Knowing we would be way too tired to cook or to host (my family usually hosts every year) my parents began researching alternatives.

Dining Out: Cinquecento

I love dining in the South End, but admittedly, I don't venture in that direction as much as I used to, mostly because the parking situation is so tricky.

Two weeks ago a friend and I were trying to decide where to dine for Restaurant Week and after perusing all the menus, we selected Cinquecento on Harrison Ave.

Dining Out: Tiny's

On Tuesday, April 1st, I had the incredible honor of serving as witness when my sister and her fiancé tied the knot at City Hall in New York City. The big bash is this weekend in Miami, but they had to make it official before flying south.

We woke up bright and early to get on the train from Harlem and head all the way down to the Financial District. We wanted to be at City Hall right when it opened at 8:30am.

Dining Out: Salvation Taco

Every time I visit New York City, I spend at least one night with one of my childhood friends from summer camp. Each trip she makes it her personal mission to take me somewhere new and she always encourages me to blog about our dining adventures.

On my most recent trip, she took me to a restaurant in the Pod Hotel called Salvation Taco. The restaurant is owned by the same duo that owns The Spotted Pig and The Breslin in the Ace Hotel.

Dining Out: Highball Lounge

I have lived in Boston my entire life. Whenever a new bar or restaurant opens I am always excited to check it out, but hardly anything blows me away.

All that changed last Wednesday.

I planned to meet a friend after work at the new bar in the Nine Zero Hotel called Highball Lounge. We had tried to go about a month before, but it was closed for a private party.

We arrived at 7pm on the windiest day of the winter and were ready to warm up with cocktails and treats.

Dining Out: Mobile Eats On The Greenway

For the past two weeks we've all been looking for signs of spring. Today, one of the best and most delicious signs will return, the Greenway food trucks.

Dining Out: Back Deck (Part II)

In the summer of 2012, I made my first visit to Back Deck in Downtown Crossing. I immediately loved the decor, which transports you to a backyard BBQ, no matter the time of year.

On that first visit, there were a few star dishes, but I wasn't in love with our meal. I was particularly disappointed in the lack of vegetarian options.

When the team at Back Deck asked if I'd like to pay another visit and sample their new menu items, I was happy to oblige.

Dining Out: Sweet Peach Diner

When I first moved to Watertown I had no idea how close I was to the town of Belmont. I've had a great time exploring the neighboring zip code and for a while now I've been wanting to try the Sweet Peach Diner.

The diner is located just before the intersection of Trapelo Road and Waverley Oaks Road (Rt 60). Parking can be a bit tricky, as there are only a few spots in front of the restaurant and a few across the street. I had to circle three times before I found a spot.

Dining Out: Alden & Harlow

Since moving to Watertown in the summer of 2012, I've been spending quite a bit of time in Harvard Square. My neighborhood borders Cambridge and it's a quick one mile walk or drive over to the square.

Dining Out: Seasons 52

For months now my mother, sister and cousin have been raving about a restaurant called Seasons 52. They all live in Florida and there are locations in Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

When I learned a Seasons 52 was opening in Chestnut Hill (which is developing so rapidly it feels like a video game), I couldn't wait to check it out.

Dining Out: Tatte Bakery & Cafe

My junior year of college I studied abroad in Cordoba, Spain. I have so many amazing memories from that time in my life, but my best memento is my friend and travel companion, let's call her Guapa.

In the time since we graduated from college she has lived in Los Angeles, Boston, New York and Washington D.C. and no matter what city we meet up in, she always recommends the best restaurants.

Dining Out: Shake Shack (Part III)

It's well documented that I am a Shake Shack devotee. Back in January 2012, I had the pleasure of hearing Shake Shack founder Danny Meyer speak at a conference and I was totally inspired by his vision.
