Dining Out: Kitchen at Cobble Hill

On our third morning in Brooklyn we decided to get up, eat a quick breakfast (bagels, of course) and then head out to explore the neighborhood. We walked up Smith Street in Carroll Gardens, all the way into Cobble Hill and then back down on the parallel street, Court Street.

Dining Out: Gersi

I always have the best Italian food in New York City, and our dinner at Gersi in Carroll Gardens was no exception. The place was recommended to me by a friend who I used to share meals with at Supper in the East Village, so I knew her suggestion would be solid.

Dining Out: Atrium DUMBO

The Galler family headed to Brooklyn, NY this weekend to attend a wedding. My brother-in-law's older brother was getting hitched, and we were all invited to celebrate.

The wedding took place at the DUMBO Lofts, a space directly below the Manhattan Bridge. The location was outrageously cool and unique.

The next morning, my brother-in-law's parents hosted the most beautiful brunch at Atrium DUMBO, which is situated right in between the Manhattan Bridge and the Brooklyn Bridge.

Dining Out: Buttermilk Channel

I have a Pamela Barksy canvas bag inside my purse that reads, "I'm having an affair with New York." I have always loved the Big Apple. Despite countless trips to Manhattan (I think if I actually tried to count, it might be close to 100 visits), before this weekend I had never been to Brooklyn.

Sugar Fix: Honeycomb Creamery

It's no secret that I love ice cream. I believe it would be factually correct to state that it's my primary food group. As such, when a friend told me about Honeycomb Creamery on Mass. Ave in Cambridge, I knew I had to check it out.

Dining Out: Little Donkey (Part II)

Back in October I took my first trip to Little Donkey in Central Square in Cambridge, the latest collaboration between Boston super chefs Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette. I went for dinner and I have to admit, I was a little underwhelmed.

This week, when a friend suggested we escape the office and try Little Donkey's lunch menu, I was skeptical. When I visited the website and saw the lunch menu was truly a different set of offerings than dinner, I started to feel optimistic.

Sugar Fix: Linda's Donuts

One of my 2017 New Year's resolutions is to up my breakfast game. When I shared my list of goals in January, I named five specific places I was hoping to try, one of which is Linda's Donuts.

Dining Out: Burro Bar

One of my best friends from college was born on Cinco de Mayo, so each year we look for a special Mexican place to celebrate. This year the birthday girl's wish was to try Burro Bar in Brookline, the sibling of The Painted Burro in Somerville, which is my undisputed favorite place for brunch right now.

Where to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Boston & Beyond

Cinco de Mayo is one of my favorite occasions. What's not to love? Chips! Guacamole! Margaritas! Sombreros! It's an instant party.

Thankfully, there are a ton of great restaurants and bars that get into the Cinco de Drinko spirit every year. Here are my top picks for where to celebrate.

Dining Out: Ocean Prime

One of my closest friends has worked for Ocean Prime for the last three years. First in their Denver, CO location, and then as a member as the opening team for the first-ever Boston, MA location. If you've been down to the Seaport lately, then you've definitely seen Ocean Prime on the ground floor of the 100 Pier 4 building.

Dining Out: Central

I grew up in Newtonville, one of the 14 villages of Newton, MA. If you know someone from Newton, I am positive they can name all 14 neighborhoods, as we were required to memorize them in elementary school. Though Newtonville is cute and charming, we didn't have much going on in the way of restaurants, so we always scooted up to Newton Centre to go out to eat.

Dining Out: Hopewell Bar & Kitchen

The neighborhood of Allston is known for its two very colorful populations - Boston University students and rowdy, recent college grads. Over the past few years, several killer restaurants have moved in to help feed this hungry 'hood - Lone Star Taco Bar, Roxy's Grilled Cheese, LuLu's, Whole Heart Provisions and more.
