Dining Out: The Old Man & The Sea

As you know, I just returned from a week and a half in Israel. I had an incredible trip and I am giddy just thinking about all the adventures I get to share with you from my journey.

On my first day in the country, I went with a friend to Yafo (also known as Jaffa). Being in Yafo feels like experiencing a time warp. There are stone streets, winding, narrow alleys and there is a calmness and serenity that you won't find in any other neighborhood in Tel Aviv.

Yafo is home to many historic landmarks, including the oldest mosque in Israel.

Dining Out: Johnny D's

Happy Friday! With the weekend upon us, there is only one thing worth talking about - brunch.

It's no secret that brunch is my favorite meal of the week and I definitely consider myself a connoisseur of the best options in Boston. One of the best kept brunch secrets is Johnny D's in Davis Square in Somerville.

Johnny D's is right across the street from the Davis Square T stop.

Explore: Taza Chocolate Factory Tour

The last three weeks have been incredibly productive for my list of 2015 new year's resolutions! In the beginning of June I adopted my dog Scout (resolution #3) and last Friday I finally experienced a farm dinner (resolution #8).

Dining Out: Herb Lyceum

June has been an amazing month for new year's resolutions. As you may remember, I shared my list of 15 resolutions for 2015 in January and then I detailed my progress at the four month mark.

Sugar Fix: Rancatore's

When I was house hunting a few years ago and finally decided to move to Watertown, the couple that owned my place said the best thing about living in this neighborhood is the proximity to Rancatore's. I had no idea what that was and sheepishly admitted it. In unison they shrieked, "What? How is it possible you've never been there?" Apparently it's an amazing ice cream place.

Dining Out: Fogo De Chao

Last week I made my first ever trip to Fogo de Chao, the famous Brazilian steak house. Now, I know what you are thinking, "What can a vegetarian possibly eat at Fogo de Chao?" Well, it turns out, quite a bit!

I left work and took the green line over to Copley to meet my dinner dates, my cousin and his girlfriend. Fogo de Chao is located on the first floor of the Westin Hotel, right next to the Boston Public Library.

Dining Out: Spoon & Tbsp

All this week I've been sharing with you my dining adventures from my most recent trip to New York City. We've already drooled over the veggie hero at The Meatball Shop and the angel food cake ice cream with chocolate and cherries at Morgenstern's, so today let's talk about my favorite meal of the week - brunch.

Sugar Fix: Morgenstern's

Yesterday I shared with you my trip to NYC's The Meatball Shop. You may have noticed that we didn't order any dessert with our dinner. That's because from the very beginning we had planned the evening as a two stop tour. Stop one: The Meatball Shop. Stop two: Morgenstern's.

I heard about Morgenstern's from a Boston friend who had visited New York a few weeks prior. She told me it was wildly popular and that the flavor combinations were very unique.

Dining Out: The Meatball Shop

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. My parents came up from Miami and my sister and brother-in-law flew up from New York City. It was such a blast to be all together in Boston and enjoy the gorgeous spring weather all weekend.

This week I plan to share with you some of the amazing spots I visited on my most recent trip to New York. I was in town for a client event, but stayed two extra days to see my sister, one of my best friends from college and one of my oldest and dearest childhood friends.

Now Open: Great American Shake Sale

You may remember last May I shared with you the news of Shake Shack's month-long fundraiser called the Great American Shake Sale, which supports No Kid Hungry.

Well, this year they are at it again for the fourth annual sale in an effort to end childhood hunger in America.

Dining Out: Smokey Bones

There are so many reasons to love the North Shore - the Topsfield Fair in Topsfield (duh), the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester, Bearskin Neck in Rockport and more.

Now there's a new reason to travel north, Smokey Bones in Peabody.
