How about that the sun is finally shining here in Boston! Isn't it amazing how the sun improves your whole mood?
I don't know about you, but I am ready for summer. I'm ready for sun dresses, flip flops, outdoor dining, ice cold mojitos, driving with the windows down and squishing my toes into the sand.
Since I've had summer on the brain all weekend, I jumped for joy when I saw this fantastic idea on Apartment Therapy. If you don't already check Apartment Therapy on the regular, add it to your list. Their photography is bananas and they always have the most clever design ideas.
Like this idea for beach-inspired art work. These are framed vintage bathing suits. How cool are these?
I already have a ton of beachy art work in my house, but a true water baby can never have enough!
Now if you're like me you are thinking, "Gee, that's a fun idea, but where in the world would I find vintage bathing suits?" Great question. I am sure you could find them on eBay or at Second Time Around, but I think this would be just as awesome with current bathing suit styles, like this red polka dot bikini or this yellow and blue striped bikini, both from J.Crew.
My sister is actually the crafty one, so when she comes to visit this summer I will force her to do this me and then I'll report back (with photos, of course).
