Tomorrow afternoon from 2:00pm - 4:00pm, Eat Boston (run by Aaron Cohen and chef Will Gilson) will take over Dewey Square on the Greenway with their 4th Ice Cream Showdown.
What is this magical event you ask? Well, for $8 you can purchase a ticket that gives you access to flavors from Boston's best ice cream shops. This year's attendees include: JP Licks, Emack & Bolio's, Toscanini's, the South End's Picco, Giovanna Gelato e Sorbet and Allston's newest addition, FoMu.
If you're feeling guilty about spending an afternoon spooning ice cream into your face - don't. Proceeds from the event benefit Community Servings and Lovin' Spoonfuls, both local non-profits working to eliminate hunger in Boston.
