If you've been reading Pop.Bop.Shop. for a while, then you already know that ice cream is my primary food group.
Though I love to eat ice cream, I've never tried to make it myself, mostly because I didn't want to invest in an ice cream maker. And because I don't cook.
So imagine my surprise and delight to learn there is a new cookbook out there full of 100 ice cream recipes, all possible without an ice cream maker! Ladies and gents, meet Leslie Bilderback's "No-Churn Ice Cream."
This book is filled with endless possibilities for frozen treats and the photography is amazing.
Each recipe has a list of ingredients, the method for preparation, a mouth watering photo and then a list of ways you can vary the recipe to keep changing it up and experimenting each time. Pictured below is the apple-spice ice cream.
If it's true what they say, that people eat with their eyes, get ready to pig out! The pictures that accompany every recipe will have you licking your lips.
At the back of the book, there are bonus pages that offer even more ways you can switch up the ingredients of these base recipes. For example, change up the classic mint chip by using candy canes (hello, holiday party!).
Some of the suggested variations are a little out there, like vanilla-tomato or vanilla-lobster.
