Shop: Printed Village

For the last two years or so, I have been really focused on shopping locally. I try to buy produce from farmer's markets whenever I can, I choose local vendors like Taza Chocolate and Bull Boy Distillery and I prefer to dine at restaurants that are independently owned and operated by teams and chefs that are native Bostonians.

The same applies to my fashion choices. Since living in Inman Square after college graduation, I have been a loyal patron of the store called Boutique Fabulous. It sits in the block between the 1369 Coffeehouse and the East Coast Grill on Cambridge Street. For the last several months I have been eyeing a scarf there. It's pink with a zebra print.

Well, imagine my sheer delight when the team at Printed Village, based right here in Somerville, reached out to me to ask if I would help spread the word about their brand. It turns out, they are the makers of that scarf! Having never posted a photo of my wish list scarf, it was total fate that they reached out to me.

Through our conversations I also learned that my dream scarf comes in a brilliant canary yellow. I love the way they've styled it with this billowy white top and that bright, chunky jewelry.

Printed Village was started by husband and wife team Jason Faulkner and Rachel Huang three years ago. Their company is a print design house with a signature scarf line. They describe their vision as, "We have an infatuation with the beauty of the natural, organic world. We're re-imagining and re-discovering original landscapes, animals, patterns and placing them in and contrast within a sharp, modern society."

You have to check out the "About Us" page on their website. I love the design, layout and colors of their team bios!

If you are digging the zebra print scarf, you should also see my two other favorites.

First is the ikat scarf in pink. This would brighten up any outfit and is the perfect accessory as we transition from winter to spring.

Second, I need all of their chevron scarves. You know how I feel about chevron. I adore both the black and white and the red and blue versions.

If you are interested in one of the Printed Village scarves, this is your lucky day. For the next five days they are running a deal on Groupon. Their scarves are normally $38 dollars and for the next five days they are only $19.99.

Unlike some Groupon deals, which can be limiting in their parameters, this deal for Printed Village includes 25 scarf designs. Check out all the options here.

Take a look at the Groupon deal and let me know which designs you are loving.

Once the deal closes, follow all the news about Printed Village on their Facebook page.

Happy shopping!
