Stay: The Fairmont San Francisco

I recently flew to San Francisco for work and had the opportunity to stay in one of the most gorgeous hotels. The Fairmont San Francisco sits on the crest of one of of the city's many hills and you feel like you're on top of the world.

When we entered the lobby, I felt like I entered the castle in "Beauty and the Beast." Everything was so opulent.

The reception area is flanked by towering marble columns.

Off of the lobby and down a hallway is the roof top garden.

The garden is a true urban oasis and has an incredible view.

When you hang over the edge of the garden's balcony you can see all the way down the hill and out to the water. That was a very "pinch me" moment.

On the walk back toward the elevator one of the hotel staff members pointed out to us the chef's herb garden, which is also on the roof. Along with herbs, the hotel also has bees who are buzzing around, making fresh honey!

I was impressed with the Fairmont before we even saw our rooms. When I put the key into my door and saw what was on the other side, I was floored. My room had a king size bed!

I can't remember a time when I've ever slept in a king size bed. I felt like a princess.

Every aspect of the room was perfectly appointed, even the welcome guide and the remote!

My room had a handsome dresser and a desk with a classic leather chair.

I also had a sitting area (which I had no time to sit in).

The room's closet was enormous. It also had a strategically placed full length mirror, which I really appreciate. I can't stand when a hotel room doesn't have a full length mirror. How is a girl supposed to know if her outfit is on point?

Now for the bathroom. The regal feeling continued in this ornate space.

I love the monogram "F" on the shower curtain.

The room had a beautiful, elegant mirror and a black marble counter top.

The counter was lined with wonderful smelling toiletries from a line called Rose 31. It took an extreme amount of will power not to put all of these into my suitcase.

The best part of my  room was hands down the view.

From my window I could see the entire roof top garden and most of downtown San Francisco.

Needless to say, I was enamored with the Fairmont.

In addition to the stellar location, the marvelous lobby and palatial room, the quality of service at the Fairmont is unparalleled. From the women at the check in desk, to the bell men, to the concierge, to the conference and event staff, everyone was warm, friendly and super helpful. It really made our stay extra special.

If you're planning a trip to San Francisco, definitely consider the Fairmont.
