Grey's Anatomy: Back In The Saddle

Tonight on "Grey's Anatomy" Cristina is back at Seattle Grace. She meets her new boss, Dr. Russell, and he tells her, "Run my service. Make me look good." Pretty much Cristina's dream.

Toward the end of the episode Dr. Hunt makes Cristina nervous that by operating on one of Dr. Russell's patients she may get fired. Dr. Russell winds up praising her and says, "Dr. Hunt I see why you pushed so hard for her." Interesting! After that awkward "welcome back" chat I wasn't even sure Owen and Cristina could be in the same room together.

Speaking of the same room, April and Jackson can't keep their hands off each other. Unfortunately, after every hook up, April starts ranting about how bad she feels, how she disappointed Jesus, etc. Jackson has no idea how to handle her insecurities so he keeps walking out mid-rant, which was actually hilarious.

At the close of the hour, Jackson admits to April that he doesn't see her as just a booty call, in fact, he really likes her and he has no idea how to handle it. I kept waiting for him to sheepishly ask, "Will you be my girlfriend?" I like the idea of the two of them together.

Jackson's mother and the Chief are very much together. They keep sending emails to Jackson by mistake. I loved when Jackson approached the Chief about it and he replied, "You don't have to call me sir." Then Jackson says, "Yes, I do. It helps me." Ha!

And while we're talking about helping, Bailey was the one to finally crack the nut with Arizona. Through some mild scheming, Bailey gets Arizona back at the hospital and passionate about cases again. Finally! Admittedly, it was hard to watch Arizona try to walk across her apartment on her prosthetic leg, stumble, fall and break that red vase.

Karev had a small role tonight, mostly surrounding his desire to buy Meredith's old house. I don't know why, but this upset me! How can she sell that house? I know they have the dream house in the woods now, but that house is where our Grey's family grew up.

At the end of the episode Cristina shows up at Meredith's house and asks new owner Alex is she can rent from him. He begrudgingly agrees. I foresee some funny moments between those two as roommates.

Tonight's episode ended with the group in a meeting with their attorneys about seeking damages for the crash. Cristina walked out of the first meeting and Callie broke down about Derek's hand in the second meeting, so I was nervous about this last one. The attorneys explain that they won't be going after the pilot or even the plane manufacturer, they are going after Seattle Grace for putting them on that plane in the first place. Oh boy!

The next new episode will be in two weeks (after Thanksgiving) and it looks like Derek is undergoing another surgery on his hand, Cristina and Owen try to resolve their problems and April tells Jackson, "I'm late." Can I fast forward to the 29th?
