Listen: Whitney Houston Tributes

If you've ever been to the Phoenix Landing in Central Square in Cambridge on a Saturday night you have seen me singing at the tops of my lungs and twirling in circles as Whitney Houston's 80s power song, "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" blares from the speakers. Given all my great memories of dancing to Whitney songs, I was deeply saddened to hear of her passing.

In the wake of her death many artists have come forward with tribute performances and I wanted to share with you two of my favorites.

The first is by Pentatonix, the a cappella group that won "The Sing Off." I love this arrangement! Their voices blend together so beautifully.

This cover of my personal anthem, "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" is by my favorite piano player, Ben Rector. I've written about Ben countless times on this blog.

I love the way this video is shot and how you can see Ben playing each individual instrument that makes up the final sound of the track.

Who has recorded your favorite Whitney Houston tribute?
