In the past year I have attended eight weddings and I have three friends planning weddings for 2011 and 2012. I would say this makes me a bit of a wedding expert, both as a bridesmaid and as a guest. Imagine my delight when a friend emailed me this trailer for a new movie called "Bridesmaids." I should share that said friend was a bridesmaid with me in a wedding last year. Check it out:
Maya Rudolph plays the bride-to-be and Kristen Wiig plays her maid of honor (both actresses are SNL veterans). Wiig's character has never been a bridesmaid before let alone a maid of honor, so she finds herself quite overwhelmed when she realizes all of her responsibilities.
The movie also stars Ellie Kemper (Erin on The Office) and Melissa McCarthy (Sookie from Gilmore Girls). The trailer also shows a Jon Hamm cameo. Yes, please!
"Bridesmaids" is produced by Judd Apatow, the comedic brain behind "The 40 Year Old Virgin", "Knocked Up" and "Superbad." It's about time he produced a movie for the ladies!
