Live: Far East Movement and La Roux

Tonight I returned to the House of Blues for the second time in a week to take my friend to Far East Movement and La Roux for her birthday. We both only knew one song by each band but decided it was still worth the trip since it was a special occasion.

We arrived during Far East Movement's first song and were immediately intoxicated by their energy. They were literally bouncing back and forth across the stage. After a few songs they burst into our current anthem "Like a G6." Check it out:

The crowd exploded during the next song "Go Ape" during which one of their band members came out dressed like a monkey! I kid you not. See for yourself:

I have to say, I was massively impressed by Far East Movement! They were such a blast to watch and you couldn't help but sing and dance along. I will absolutely be downloading their album.

Next up was La Roux. The first thing I noticed was the height of her hair do! Though I didn't know most of the songs, it was easy to see why people love this music. Its perfect for dancing around your room or while cleaning the apartment. Its the kind of music you just rock out to when you're by yourself.

Check out her tune "I'm Not Your Toy":

For her encore, La Roux performed the summer power jam "Bulletproof." The crowd went absolutely insane! Watch here:

This is the fourth show I have seen at the House of Blues since September and I continue to be impressed by the great acts they book. Its becoming one of my favorite live music venues. I can't wait to see who will roll in next!

Until then, I'm gonna fly like a G6.
