Grey's Anatomy: 1 Million

This week on Grey's Anatomy the chief asks each of the attendings to prepare a presentation on what they would do with one million dollars for their department. I absolutely loved that every presentation went swiftly from a sales pitch to a therapy session. I particularly enjoyed Callie's rant about how Arizona is a better lesbian and Dr. Bailey's blunt sparing which ended with, "we can't go to Paris, chief, so let's just go to the grocery store."

While the attendings were busy wooing the chief, the residents got to play dress up for the day and wear navy scrubs (the sign of a more senior doctor). While Meredith soared and did a solo brain surgery (way to go, Miss Dark and Twisty!), hottie Dr. Avery failed miserably. In the previews for next week it looks like he flops again. I love his character, I hope they aren't eliminating him!

At the end of the episode the chief whispers something to Dr. Hunt and the other attendings begin to congratulate him. Although the obvious conclusion seems that Dr. Hunt won the million dollars, part of me thinks the chief might have named Owen the new chief. Anyone else agree?

This week I was at the end of my rope with Cristina. I was getting supremely tired of her depressing, self-loathing story line and it was literally painful to watch her refuse to speak to patients or participate in her own career. Thankfully her organ transplant patient cracked her PTSD armor and she finally had a break through! Huzzah!

In previews for next week, Grey's goes documentary style! I've only seen this style succeed with comedies (The Office, Modern Family) but I'm open to a deviation from the norm. We'll see how it shapes up next week!
