One of the things my Rochester tour guide wanted to show me most were the craft shops in her neighborhood. My favorite store we visited was called Craft Company No. 6 on University Ave. The outside of the store is very whimsical and has adorable sayings painted beneath each window.
Our best find in the shop were these beautifully packaged dips which make superb hostess gifts:
I also loved these hand painted, ceramic, wine charms that said things like: Billionaire, Mr. Big and Armchair Quarterback:
All of the displays in the store were carefully designed, including this nature display leading into a room with woodsy-themed gifts:
While I wanted to purchase pretty much everything, I left with one gorgeous wedding card for a couple whose wedding I'll be attending in a few weeks (who can stand those cheesy Hallmark wedding cards?).
