Sip: Spring Cocktails

This weekend in Boston it finally started to feel like spring. We may not be able to shed our jackets and close toe shoes just yet, but we're getting close.

My favorite thing about spring is the switch from hanging out inside (hello, Netflix binges) to enjoying the sun and breeze outside. I'm very lucky to currently live in a place with a yard, so I can easily host friends for BBQs and fire pits. In addition to looking forward to entertaining outdoors again, I'm also excited to mix up some new drinks for our meals al fresco.

Lately, Pinterest has been absolute gold mine for ideas. Starting with these frozen fruit skewers, meant for adding a chill and a sweet surprise to any drink.

I actually leaned in closer to the screen when I discovered this recipe for raspberry limoncello prosecco.

How refreshing does that look? I love the garnish of fresh raspberries and mint leaves.

If you've ever been to the Border Cafe in Harvard Square, then you likely share my love of a good frozen margarita. What if the flavor of said frozen margarita was sangria? Yes, my friends, a sangria frozen margarita.

Naturally I've saved the best for last. This recipe is actually stolen from a NYC restaurant (Loop Doopy Rooftop Bar) and it involves serving popsicles dipped in wine or a cocktail.

If heaven exists, I hope this is what they serve at the pearly gates.

While I'm collecting springtime drink recipes, tell me, do you have a go-to outdoor beverage?
