I will never forget the first time I rode in an Uber SUV. I was having lunch with a friend at his office in Manhattan and as we were finishing up he said, "I have a meeting uptown so I'm just going to call an Uber. You want to hop in and we'll stop at your office first?" I looked at him quizzically and said, "You're calling a what?"
About two minutes later he got a text and we rushed down the stairs.
