Listen: Summer Playlist

This weekend was the first time it really started to feel like summer in Boston. The sun was shining, the sky was blue and the sun dresses and flip flops were in full effect. But more than any of those warm weather perks, I was happiest about driving with the windows down. And what do you need when you drive with the windows down?

Killer tunes.

In honor of #MusicMonday and the first true summer weekend, today I am sharing with you my five must-download songs for summer.

1. Iggy Azalea, "Fancy" - If you don't already know this song, prepare to become addicted. Since first hearing Miss I-G-G-Y, I've had this song in constant rotation.

2. Ariana Grande, "Problem" - I downloaded Ariana Grande's song "The Way" last year and I used to listen to it on my morning commute. Her second smash, "Problem," has me cranking up the car stereo after hearing the first few notes. If Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez were to give birth to a hybrid mega star, it would be Ariana Grade.

3. Ed Sheeran, "Sing" - Before this song, I thought Ed Sheeran was kind of a wuss. I knew he toured with Taylor Swift, but I hadn't been that impressed. This song invokes a falsetto like that of many sexy high pitched men before him (see Justin Timberlake and Adam Levine).

4. MAGIC!, "Rude" - Though the tone of the lyrics to this song are actually quite sad (it's about asking for a girl's hand in marriage and being denied), the reggae vibe is 100 percent summer. This first time I heard this song I said to my friends, "Now this is a backyard BBQ song if I ever heard one."

5. Naughty Boy, "La La La" - This is the kind of song that causes you to inadvertently start driving faster. It's the perfect road trip song. It's steady techno/slow jam beat puts you in a trance.

That's what I am listening to. What songs are you blasting as you buckle in, roll down the windows and head to the beach?
