Today is a strange day in Boston. While Halloween is normally a day when we wear orange, cat ears, witch hats, or even full on costumes, today we're all wearing Red Sox gear instead.
This year Halloween in Boston has been completely trumped by the Red Sox winning the World Series last night. In honor of our championship team, the folks over at Sweet have whipped up a celebratory confection: the bearded cupcake.
Now this is my kind of line up!
Each bearded cupcake features a fluffy cake, a layer of frosting covered in red and blue sprinkles, a second dollop of frosting (because, go big or go home) and then an edible Red Sox beard topper.
The cupcakes are available at all four Sweet locations, while supplies last.
- Back Bay: 49 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston, MA 02115
- Newbury Street: 225 Newbury Street, Boston, MA 02115
- Downtown: 11 School Street, Boston, MA 02108
- Harvard Square: Zero Brattle Street, Cambridge, MA 02138
One dozen bearded cupcakes cost $51 dollars. While that price tag may seem high, how often does your team win the World Series?
Treat yourself.
