Sugar Fix: EHChocolatier CSC

You may remember that last fall I introduced you to EHChocolatier's CSC (Community Supported Chocolate) program. Much like a CSA, EHChocolatier provides chocolate deliveries the same way a farm provides fruits, vegetables and herbs.

You can sign up for the CSC and receive a chocolate share monthly. The program runs from October 2013 - March 2014 and your share is delivered on the first Friday of every month to one of six pick up locations across the city and greater Boston. Each share is $20 dollars.

This year, owners Elaine and Catharine have added new treats into the mix.

The first is the CocoNutty Bar, co-owner Catharine's take on her childhood favorite, the Almond Joy. I too am obsessed with Almond Joy candy bars and I can't wait to taste this!

This year CSC members will also get to experience the new Crispy Milk Bar, which was inspired by the Nestle Crunch Bar. It's a single origin Hawaiian milk chocolate (38%) solid bar with strong caramel tones and lightened with the crunchy airiness of brown rice crispies and a sprinkle of sea salt. Everything is better with sea salt.

Are you drooling yet?

To sign up for your monthly chocolate fix, visit EHChocolatier's CSC page of their website.

Don't live locally? Can't participate? Join EHChocolatier's Chocolate of the Month Club to receive their confections at home, no matter where you live.
