New Discovery: The Gold Screen

Every two weeks when a new issue of STUFF magazine hits the street corner outside of my office I rush to grab it. I devour page after page of what's hip, new and exciting in the city. If you all aren't reading this, you're missing out.

In a February issue of STUFF I came across an amazing discovery! The Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline, where I already see movies on the regular, apparently has a private theater that you can rent! How did I not know this?

The good news doesn't stop there. The seats in the theater are gold! In fact, this private screening room is called the Gold Screen.

If you're interested in hosting an event in the Gold Screen room there are a few things you should know:

  • The theater has 14 seats
  • You provide the movie
  • You can also book for TV viewings
  • You're allowed to bring in your own food and drink

I know what you're thinking, "Molly, this sounds great, but how much does it cost?" I'm glad you asked. Generally the price is $400 for two hours, but the Coolidge is willing to talk pricing, just email rentals@coolidge.org.

In the words of STUFF, " . . . so the next time you're hosting a game-day or award-show viewing party, the Gold Screen can serve as a swank alternative to your shoebox-sized living room." Amen!

Now I just need a reason to book it!
