New York Fashion Week: Oscar De La Renta

Oscar de la Renta is a fashion designer that needs no introduction. I felt transported to another time while watching his fall 2012 collection walk down the runway. Each look reminded me of a time when Audrey Hepburn and Jackie Kennedy were the icons for American women.

I like this long sleeve, black and white, cocktail dress:

My black and white obsession continued with this wrap coat. This is seriously stunning:

This non-traditional suit is a real head turner. The patterned skirt and jacket are very delicate and are paired with a light weight, pink, ruffled shell underneath.

This pale pink gown is one I hope to see on the red carpet at the Oscars!

Did you notice the headbands on each of the models? This touch added continuity to the collection and that 50s flair.

Here's Mr. de la Renta taking a bow:

Bravissimo!
