I have a cousin who lives in Israel and though we only get to see each other in the summers, we have always shared a love for powerful, female vocalists. In fact, I took her to a Destiny's Child concert many moons ago which is when we both agreed we'd love Beyonce forever.
Which brings me to my next point. This cousin and I have an obsession with Beyonce's song "Single Ladies." Every summer we're together we blast it in the car, windows down, as we cruise around the beach town where our parents grew up. We wave our single, left hands from left to right and up through the open sun roof as we belt out the lyrics.
So imagine my delight when she posted a video on her Facebook wall of a "Single Ladies" cover by another our of our favorite singers, Sara Bareilles. I saw Sara perform back in November at the House of Blues in Boston and was completely blown away (see my review and my videos from the show here). This is melding two of my absolute favorite artists into one awesome cover:
