Stream: What to Watch this Weekend

Hi, friends. Happy Friday! I spent the majority of this week down in Hull, riding out the heatwave at the beach.

Before we get into this week's top picks, here are the two shows coming up that I'm most excited about:

  • Friday, June 18 - Have you watched the Spanish high school drama Elite on Netflix? It's like Gossip Girl meets Pretty Little Liars, set in Spain. Season four is coming up quickly, so catch up now ahead of the premiere.
  • Wednesday, June 23 - One of my favorite CW shows, In the Dark, returns! Perry Mattfeld stars as Murphy Mason, a blind woman entangled with some very dangerous drug dealers. Casey Deidrick plays her incredibly handsome love interest, Max.

I have to admit, I didn't get to watch much over the last seven days. My parents were staying with me for the majority of the week and let's just say, it's hard for us to agree on shows. We decided to be extra kind to my dad and wound up watching a lot of the Stanley Cup and NBA Finals.

This week, instead of reviewing the shows I've already watched, I'm sharing a short list of what I'm looking forward to streaming this weekend.

  • LA's Finest (Netflix) - I loved this cop show with Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba. It kept me on the edge of my seat, and it's back for a season two.
  • Flack (Amazon) - I devoured the first season of this show, where Anna Paquin plays a celebrity publicist. Season two is now available and I can't wait to start.
  • Bo Burnham: Inside (Netflix) - All over my Instagram feed people were raving about Bo Burnham's comedy special. He wasn't on my radar until Promising Young Woman, but I'm looking forward to watching (and hopefully laughing).

Next week I promise to have more reviews! Thanks for bearing with me.
