Today is June 1 and Father's Day is coming up quickly on Sunday, June 21. I am intentionally sharing this gift guide early because during the COVID-19 crisis many retailers are experiencing shipping delays. I know many of us will be spending the holiday far away from our dads, uncles, grandfathers and other important men in our lives, so I wanted to give you plenty of time to find something you love, order it and have it arrive on time!
It's no secret that I love snail mail. Picking out the perfect card is something I really enjoy. Lately, I find Emily McDowell & Friends has the cards that say it best, like this one:
I also really like this one!
For a card he can display, this Lovepop Happy Trails design is really fun. You may not be able to hit up all your favorite camping spots this summer, but this card let's him know you wish you could.
When it comes to custom gifts, this comic book is awesome. Titled "Mega Dad," it's an exciting adventure starring . . . you and your dad! Orders placed today will arrive by Monday, June 15. If you're interested in this, I'd act quickly to ensure it makes it to his door by June 21.
I also love this custom puzzle. Use any photo to create a 252-piece puzzle for dad to put together.
If he's become an expert puzzler during quarantine, consider this 500-piece National Parks design.
Perhaps board games are more his thing. This travel set from REI that has both chess and checkers.
He's obviously going to need snacks while playing all these games. Harry & David offers a summer snack crate with meats, cheese, spreads, nuts, popcorn and cookies. It even comes with a bottle of wine!
For the dad who has upped his culinary game over the past few months, consider a pizza stone. You can even use it on the grill.
Speaking of grills, this outdoor pizza oven looks amazing. It's a bit expensive, but if you know your dad will relish making and cooking his own pies, you've got to splurge for it!
Both my dad and brother-in-law love cooking meat on the grill, so I thought this grilling favorites set from Stonewall Kitchen would be a hit. It comes with three sauces, three rubs, a silicon basting brush and a tea towel (for easy hand wiping).
If mixology is his newest hobby, upgrade his bar cart with this gold, geometric print glassware.
This cocktail kit is also fun. It's from Casamigos, the tequila company co-owned by George Clooney and Rande Gerber. It includes two mixers and two types of salt rims. Ideal for the at-home bartender!
I like this wagon from L.L. Bean because it's useful now (lugging stuff around the yard, to the pool, to the beach) but it will also be fantastic once we're out of social distancing (think tailgating).
Does your dad have a green thumb? Love to garden? Give him a comfy way to keep working with this foldable seat.
If indoor gardening is more his speed, Urban Leaf makes a great herb growing kit that includes everything you need to sprout your own basil, cilantro and parsley.
If you're looking for even more ideas, revisit the guides from years past. I still love all of these items!
