Valentine's Day Gift Guide: For All The Single Ladies

Yesterday I shared with you the amazing work of Julie Mancini, the artist behind Posh + Prep. Now that you know where to get the best Valentine cards, it's time to talk about the presents to go with them.

This Valentine's Day Gift Guide is unlike the usual romantic, lovey dovey guides you may be reading around the web. This guide is for my soul sisters, the single ladies.

Below is a round up of my favorite finds for the most important ladies in your life - childhood friends, high school besties, sorority sisters, neighbors, co-workers, cousins, nieces and more. Let's get right to it, shall we?

For your college roommate who moved across the country - I know after yesterday's post you already fell in love with several of Posh + Prep's designs, but there's room for one more card in your life, right? I love snail mail - both sending it and receiving it. Bring a smile to the face of your longest distance friend with this perky card from Sugar Paper.

For your neighbor who helps shovel snow - All us single ladies have to stick together. Do you have a neighbor who helps shovel snow? I do and I'm planning to thank her this Valentine's Day with these adorable conversation heart cocoa sticks, sold on Terrain.

For your friend who just got a second cat - Since she's already fulfilled the cat lady prophesy, gift her the perfect accessory, these cozy cat gloves. When I first saw these, I thought the design on the right hand was a heart, but it's actually a bird. Whoops.

For your teenage cousin who never stops texting - I have twin fourteen year old cousins and they are addicted to their phones. Give the texting teenager in your life a Valentine gift that is not only adorable, but also practical. Fingerless gloves are a texter's dream. This pair is BCBG, sold on Zappos.

For the co-worker who answers all your embarrassing questions - I don't know about you, but in my office we are always comparing our winter gear - coats, boots, hats and scarves. Surprise the co-worker who always lends you a hand with this black and white heart scarf from the San Diego Hat Company.

Or, if you want to stick with the traditional Valentine's Day red, I also really like this scarf from BCBG.

For your sister who moved from Florida to New York - Moving from accessories to apparel, let's talk about this French Connection sweater. When my sister relocated from the sunshine to the arctic tundra, I started gifting her a lot more sweatshirts and sweaters to help with her winter layering. This one feels like a great V-Day addition to her closet.

For your childhood friend who loved "Saved By The Bell" as much as you did - When I saw this off the shoulder sweatshirt, two words came to mind: Kelly Kapowski. Didn't we all want to be her at some point? Didn't we all cry when she and Zach broke up at the dance? I mean, I can't even talk about it.

For your bestie who adds more books to Goodreads in one week than you'll touch in a year - I love the site UncommonGoods and this jewelry box made from a heart cut out in a book is a must-give gift for the biggest bookworm in your life.

For your friend who just bought a condo all by herself, like a boss - We're at the stage of life now where our friends are buying condos and houses. Congratulate your single girlfriend on her new place with this charming dish towel for her kitchen.

For the hostess with the mostess, who always throws a killer bash, no matter the occasion - We all have a friend who is an effortless entertainer. Add to her hosting arsenal with this heart shaped serving piece, ideal for cheese and crackers (wine not pictured).

For your friend who makes the best homemade desserts - This year, West Elm has come out with a Valentine's Day gift collection that includes these precious, heart shaped measuring cups. They nest inside each other like Russian dolls.

For the BFF you can always count on to indulge in ice cream or fro yo - Fishs Eddy in New York City is my undisputed favorite home goods store. They sell these ice cream sundae bar bowls that look just like sugar cones, including sets in this pink hue, appropriately named strawberry.

For your boss' new baby girl - All you UGG haters, shut your mouths. How can you resist these pink knit infant UGG boots? You can't.

For your niece who's obsessed with "Frozen" - The one good thing about the "Frozen" phenomenon is that it's made little girls all over the world excited to play in the snow! Give your mini me these precious snow boots from Zappos.

For your niece who's already a diva - Yup, I've got two of those! When I saw these UGG boots on Zappos, I added them to my favorites list immediately. I love the subtle detail of the glitter hearts. They come in red or blue and I love both color choices equally. Shoot. Guess I'll just have to get them two pairs each.

For the girl who never met a sequin she didn't like - I definitely fall in this category and I have many friends who do too. Wow your fellow sequin clad sister with this Betsey Johnson makeup bag to store her beauty must-haves.

For your hero who rocks her single status like a badge of honor - Do you have a friend like this? One who genuinely prefers to fly solo? Then this Rebecca Minkoff travel pouch is her Valentine's Day gift.

Now, this last item is not for a single lady, but for a category of girlfriend who has recently crossed over. In the past year, three of my closest friends who I had been single with for nearly a decade, found love. I would be jealous, but I'm too busy being over the moon for them.

For your BFF who's going on a big Valentine's date with her new man - Having a date for Valentine's Day is a big deal and requires a big necklace. Gift your newly coupled friend this bright pink bling from BaubleBar.

And there you have it! My gift guide for all the single ladies. Cue the Beyonce!
