Tonight "Grey's Anatomy" returned for its 9th season after a summer break that felt like a year. The episode picks up just 30 days after where we left off last season.
What's new:
- Seattle Grace has a new crop of interns and Alex is sleeping with half of them.
- Meredith is overseeing the rookies and they've named her Medusa. I loved when Bailey "the nazi" told her an evil nick name is a good thing.
- Bailey has new glam hair. I love that Shonda is making her more feminine.
- Derek has a new hand. Callie helped repair his hand post-accident and he attempts to return to the OR.
- Cristina is now at a hospital in Minneapolis and her colleague is Mr. Feeny!
- Kepner is caring for pigs!
- After thinking Arizona has passed away, we learn she survived, but she had her leg amputated.
What's the same:
- Post-accident, Mark is still in a coma. This summer all the gossip mags reported that Eric Dane would be leaving the show, so I knew he wasn't going to wake up.
- Bailey and her hottie Ben are still together! I love them.
What's next:
- According to the previews for next week's episode, we will learn all the painful details of what happened to our Seattle Grace gang out in the field. Who rescued them? What is the extent of their injuries?
