A few weeks ago a girlfriend of mine who lives in Oak Square in Brighton let me know a new dessert place would be opening soon next to Pizza Etc. and the sign over the door read "Sips n Licks." I drive by this store front every day and since she informed me, had been monitoring the doors and windows each morning, peering over my steering wheel to see if it had opened.
This week, Sips n Licks finally opened its doors! The space is surprisingly large and has tables up front, the menus hanging on the left wall and the counter straight to the back.
The offering includes all kinds of hot drinks (mostly coffee varieties), ice cream, frozen custard, frozen yogurt, smoothies and a small sampling of baked goods.
I tried the vanilla frozen yogurt with heath bar mixed in. It was a great fix for my chocolate craving. I must admit, despite my commitment to frozen yogurt, that bright blue dinosaur crunch ice cream was calling to me from inside the case!
I am thrilled to have another option for frozen yogurt walking distance from my house! If you too have a sweet tooth, Sips n Licks is located at 433 Fanueil Street in Brighton.
