Those who read the blog regularly know that I am a huge fan of Ted Baker. I can't walk on Newbury Street without popping into the store and each time I receive an email from Ted, the clothes take my breath away.
I recently received an email with a few new dresses and this one in particular caught my eye:
The Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is my absolute favorite place in all of Miami. From the very first time I visited I fell in love with it and I try to go back every time I visit. While in Miami this week I realized my grandma, who was also in town for Passover, had never been to the garden! My mom and decided we had to take her.
This morning I woke up at 4:30am to head to Logan airport for a painfully early flight to Miami. I am spending the next five days visiting my parents and sister for a little rest and relaxation and to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Passover.
Tonight we decided to go check out a movie my dad wanted to see called "Square Grouper" about drug smuggling in south Florida. The movie is currently playing at an art house movie theater called the O Cinema in an area of Miami called Wynwood.
I subscribe to about twenty Boston lifestyle email lists and this week one of them,Thrillist, sent a message about a t-shirt company called Little Beasts selling super cool Celtics gear. The Celtics are my favorite Boston sports team and I am always looking for new, unique items to sport to games.
These t-shirts from Little Beasts are awesome. This design, of Kevin Garnett, re-enacts his reaction to winning the national championship:
A few weeks ago I wrote a post about a Dale Chihuly exhibit coming to the Museum of Fine Arts. Having seen Chihuly's work in Miami, Las Vegas and the Bahamas, I was incredibly excited for his team to set up shop in my hometown!
I have a cousin who lives in Israel and though we only get to see each other in the summers, we have always shared a love for powerful, female vocalists. In fact, I took her to a Destiny's Child concert many moons ago which is when we both agreed we'd love Beyonce forever.
A few days ago the J.Crew summer catalog arrived at my doorstep. I didn't have time to leaf through it until tonight. Let me just say, I fell in love. I found myself turning down every other page! Courtesy of my iPhone camera, some of my favorites are below!
I love this one shoulder, rouched, black, halter top bathing suit:
I have been reading now for weeks that Grey's Anatomy was planning a musical episode.
Today while reading my Twitter feed I stumbled upon a promotion for the Kennebunkport Festival in Kennebunkport, Maine. How can you not love Maine? Just the mention of the state conjures images of summer sun, beautiful beaches and of course, lobster. I hadn't heard of this festival before so I clicked on the link to the website.
Immediately I was struck by the beauty of the logo:
Last night my opening act good luck continued as I arrived at Royale on Tremont Street for Matt Wertz's show. I first discovered Matt in September 2008 when he opened for Gavin DeGraw. Then I went to see his headlining tour and discovered an amazing band that opened for him, the Alternate Routes. Last night my opening act good luck returned yet again with Ben Rector!
