Explore: North End

Before starting my new job in the Financial District, hanging out in the North End after work seemed impossible. It took forever to drive from my old office in Waltham to the city, then I had to find parking and eventually make my way (usually tardy) to the designated meeting place. Now that my office is just across Atlantic Ave from this fantastic, signature, Boston neighborhood, I can finally enjoy all that the North End has to offer.

Shop: Big League Love

This week the Victoria's Secret catalog arrived on my doorstep. A long time customer, I always read the catalog, page by page, for new styles and must-have sale items. In this particular catalog I was surprised and delighted to see the lingerie brand is expanding their offering to include Major League Baseball gear! The new line, called Big League Love, features twenty three teams, including our very own, Boston Red Sox.

In a recent conversation with a co-worker I had an epiphany: I love books about tortured souls.

Grey's Anatomy: Decisions

This week's episode of Grey's Anatomy was all about decisions. Let's start with Karev's decision to spill the beans about Meredith tampering with the trial. As soon as the Chief discovered she did it for Adele, I knew everything would be ok. I feel badly for Derek. His wife, who he loves most in the world, betrayed him in their professional life. How do you reconcile that?

Gossip Girl: The One

Last night's Gossip Girl shocked me! On so many levels! Wow. Where to begin!

Blair spends a wonderful night with Chuck (including a hora and a secret romp) and just as I think she is choosing Chuck over Louis, Chuck throws a curve ball! I was starting to get excited about a Chuck and Blair reunion (though last week I was rooting for Louis) and he took the "if you love her, set her free" approach.

Live: Adele and The Civil Wars

I first learned of Adele when I watched her "Chasing Pavements" video on MTV back in the summer of 2008. I purchased her entire debut album "19" but rarely listened to it. When she debuted the new single off her second album "21" on the Ellen Degeneres Show a few months ago I was completely entranced. I went directly to iTunes and pre-ordered the entire album.

Grey's Anatomy: The Race Is On

To my loyal readers, thank you for your patience over the past two days. Blogger, the program I use to publish this blog, was down Thursday evening through Friday evening, making it impossible for me to share my thoughts with you about this week's episode of Grey's Anatomy!

This week's episode reminded me why I fell in love with this show. I have always said the best episodes of Grey's are the ones that are fifty percent humorous, fifty percent gut wrenching and that is what Shonda Rhimes delivered this week!
