Sugar Fix: Linda's Donuts

One of my 2017 New Year's resolutions is to up my breakfast game. When I shared my list of goals in January, I named five specific places I was hoping to try, one of which is Linda's Donuts.

Dining Out: Burro Bar

One of my best friends from college was born on Cinco de Mayo, so each year we look for a special Mexican place to celebrate. This year the birthday girl's wish was to try Burro Bar in Brookline, the sibling of The Painted Burro in Somerville, which is my undisputed favorite place for brunch right now.

Where to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Boston & Beyond

Cinco de Mayo is one of my favorite occasions. What's not to love? Chips! Guacamole! Margaritas! Sombreros! It's an instant party.

Thankfully, there are a ton of great restaurants and bars that get into the Cinco de Drinko spirit every year. Here are my top picks for where to celebrate.

Dining Out: Ocean Prime

One of my closest friends has worked for Ocean Prime for the last three years. First in their Denver, CO location, and then as a member as the opening team for the first-ever Boston, MA location. If you've been down to the Seaport lately, then you've definitely seen Ocean Prime on the ground floor of the 100 Pier 4 building.

Dining Out: Central

I grew up in Newtonville, one of the 14 villages of Newton, MA. If you know someone from Newton, I am positive they can name all 14 neighborhoods, as we were required to memorize them in elementary school. Though Newtonville is cute and charming, we didn't have much going on in the way of restaurants, so we always scooted up to Newton Centre to go out to eat.

Dining Out: Hopewell Bar & Kitchen

The neighborhood of Allston is known for its two very colorful populations - Boston University students and rowdy, recent college grads. Over the past few years, several killer restaurants have moved in to help feed this hungry 'hood - Lone Star Taco Bar, Roxy's Grilled Cheese, LuLu's, Whole Heart Provisions and more.

Dining Out: Barceloneta

I have just returned from five days in Miami. While the primary reason for my trip was to celebrate Passover with my family, we were able to sneak in one restaurant meal before the holiday.

On Sunday evening we hopped in the car and headed to the up-and-coming neighborhood of Sunset Harbour. In the past two years this beautiful, waterfront spot has exploded with restaurants, bars and a very futuristic-looking Publix.

Celebrate: Downtown Seder with City Winery

Tonight is the first night of Passover, the holiday that recounts the Jewish people's exodus from slavery in Egypt. Passover has always been one of my favorite holidays because the rituals take place around the dining room table, rather than in a synagogue.

I kicked off this year's celebration a week early by attending the Downtown Seder, an event hosted by City Winery. City Winery has locations in Atlanta, Chicago, Nashville and New York and will be opening in Boston later this year (they are targeting August 2017).

Dining Out: Committee

When I first graduated from college in May 2006 I worked for Fidelity Investments in the Seaport. My office was in the World Trade Center and at the time there were very few surrounding buildings. In fact, most of the neighborhood was parking lots.

Dining Out: By Chloe

Each time I visit Los Angeles or New York I find myself green with envy over the number of vegetarian and vegan restaurants. While Boston has some veg-centric standouts - Veggie Galaxy, Red Lentil, Wild Rice Cafe - we simply don't have the vast selection of those larger cities.

Dining Out: Juliet

I have been wanting to dine at Juliet in Union Square since it opened in February of last year. The editor of Eater Boston, Rachel Blumenthal, lives close by and is always posting the most gorgeous, mouth-watering photos on Instagram, which are a constant reminder that I need to get myself there!

Dining Out: The Automatic

I started working in Kendall Square in Cambridge in January 2015 and since then I've had a great time exploring all of the new bars and restaurants that have popped up in the neighborhood. Last week I went with two co-workers to The Automatic, which is co-owned by veteran Boston bartender David Cagle and former East Coast Grill owner Chris Schlesinger.
