5 Patios To Hit Over Memorial Day Weekend

Today kicks off Memorial Day weekend, the unofficial start to summer. This week it finally felt warm in Boston, a feeling we haven't experienced since September!

My favorite thing about summer is dining (and drinking) outside. Today I'm sharing with you five of the best patios in the city of Boston, perfect locations for savoring the great weather and that extra day off.

Dining Out: Outlook Kitchen & Bar

Last year the Envoy Hotel opened in Boston's Seaport neighborhood, adding to the district's ever-growing list of new arrivals. In addition to a stellar location and harbor views, the hotel also boasts a roof deck and a restaurant named Outlook Kitchen & Bar.

Back in February Outlook Kitchen & Bar kicked off a Sunday series called "Brunch, Bloodys & Beats" featuring savory and sweet menu items, a wide variety of Bloody Marys and a DJ.

Dining Out: The Ainsworth

I started this week in New York City, spending three days in the Big Apple with clients. While it was 99% work, we were able to squeeze in one meal just for us. We were staying at a hotel that just opened called INNSIDE by Melia, on the corner of 27th Street and 7th Avenue. When we were trying to decide where to go for dinner, I dropped a pin on the map and discovered the hotel was steps from a place I had been wanting to try called The Ainsworth.

Dining Out: Banana Tree Grille

Yesterday I shared with you the spectacular beaches and picturesque views from my long weekend in the U.S Virgin Islands. While the highlight of the trip was absolutely the beach day on St. John, the meal we had on our final night was a very close second.

Dining Out: Pho House

The stretch of Mass Ave between Harvard Square and Porter Square in Cambridge has some of the best restaurants in greater Boston - The Abbey for top notch bar food, Bagelsaurus for a killer breakfast, Giulia for authentic Italian and Temple Bar for seasonally-inspired fare.

Dining Out: Hard Rock Cafe

When I walked into the Hard Rock Cafe last Tuesday afternoon it was just before 6pm. I opened the door and entered the dining room and though I had been there several times before, the place looked totally unfamiliar. And then it hit me - I had never been there in the daylight! (Or without a few cocktails already coursing through my system).

Dining Out: The Maiden

It's not often that I make the trek to South Boston. It's not that the neighborhood is particularly far away, it's more that parking is a nightmare for non-residents, especially in the winter. You've all seen those space savers on the news. Southie residents do not mess around when it comes to their parking spots.

Dining Out: Tiger Mama

I am a huge Tiffani Faison fan. I watched her on the very first season of "Top Chef," I rooted for her redemption on "Top Chef All Stars," I supported her at the Anna's Taqueria Celebrity Burrito Roller Showdown and I've dined numerous times at her Fenway BBQ joint, Sweet Cheeks Q.

Dining Out: Seasons 52 (Part II)

I wish I could take credit for discovering Seasons 52, but it was actually my mother and cousin (both regulars at the Seasons 52 Florida locations) who introduced me to the restaurant.

I made my first trip to the Chestnut Hill, MA location exactly two years ago (you can read about that visit here) and was thrilled to be invited back to sample the new menu for spring 2016.

Dining Out: Bagelsaurus

Several months ago I stumbled upon the Bagelsaurus Instagram account (@Bagelsaurus13) and was immediately intrigued. Each day they post the most mouth watering photos of fresh bagels and bagel sandwiches packed to the gills with goodies.

Dining Out: Twelve Hours

Every Thursday night I have dinner with one of my best friends from college. We've been doing this since we graduated in May 2006, so we're coming up on 10 years of our weekly tradition.

Dining Out: Saloniki

Two weeks ago I went with my "The Foodie List" castmates to check out Saloniki, the new Greek place in Fenway. Saloniki was co-founded by chef Jody Adams, the brilliant culinary mind behind Rialto in Harvard Square and Trade on the Greenway downtown.
