Sugar Fix: Little G Ice Cream Co.

Ice cream is my undisputed, favorite food on the planet. I grew up in a family of ice cream lovers. My grandfather worked in the super market industry his whole life and introduced us to Brigham's at birth. My whole family can tell you why the butter fat content of Brigham's is what gives it that extra creamy taste. All three generations of Gallers and Goldmans are ice cream fanatics.

Dining Out: Babbo Pizzeria

I have been wanting to try Mario Batali's Babbo Pizzeria since it first opened. To be honest, I was actually stalking it long before it opened via real-time updates on Eater.com. Two weeks ago when I had my Seaport staycation at the Aloft Boston Seaport I finally got a chance to check it out.

Dining Out: Troquet at Hotel Felix

On my final day in Chicago I only had a few hours in the morning to enjoy the city and the company of my Chicago hostess before I needed to head to O'Hare for a 1:15pm flight. Since I didn't have a ton of time, we wanted to minimize the amount of travel time to any potential brunch destination. We decided to keep it local. And by local, I mean, directly across the street.

Dining Out: Little Goat Diner

My trip to Chicago was prompted by a desire to visit one of my closest friends who moved there from Boston a few years ago. As soon as my tickets were booked we began a major planning session over email that lasted for weeks.

Dining Out: Cindy's

After visiting the Bean in Millennium Park I was floating. It was such a magical piece of work and I found myself truly moved and inspired by the experience. Little did I know my Chicago hostess would take that feeling to the next level by walking us over to Cindy's across the street.

Dining Out: RPM Italian

As soon as my tickets were booked for Chicago I started scheming with my Windy City hostess about where we should go. There were certain things I knew I had to see - the Bean, Wrigley Field, Michigan Avenue - but there was one thing I wanted to do even more than visit any of those iconic places . . . eat at RPM Italian.

Dining Out: Doc B's Fresh Kitchen

Once I made the decision to travel to Chicago and my plane tickets were booked, I started reaching out to family and friends for their recommendations. Right away my cousin and her husband insisted that I make time for a meal at Doc B's Fresh Kitchen (Doc B's for short).

Dining Out: Summer House Santa Monica

This past weekend I went to Chicago for the very first time. One of my closest friends moved there a few years ago and I finally made it out to see her.

Dining Out: Article 24

Every Thursday night I have dinner with one of my best friends from college. We started the tradition when we graduated in May of 2006 and we just celebrated 10 years of weekly dinners. For the past three or four weeks we've been stalking the opening of Article 24, the newest venture from The Neighborhood Restaurant Group, who also owns Local 149 and the Biltmore Bar & Grille.

Dining Out: Picnic Lunch at Branch Line

Because I dine out so often and I've lived in Boston my whole life, people often ask me, "If you had to choose, what would you say is your favorite restaurant in Boston?" I think they expect it to be difficult for me to narrow it down or to feel like it's equivalent to being asked to pick a favorite child, but I always answer with zero hesitation, "Eastern Standard." For those who haven't been, Eastern Standard is located in Kenmore Square, just steps from Fenway Park.
