Welcome to day three of Holiday Gift Guide Week! Today we're talking about gifts for kids. This is one of my favorite lists to make each year, because my role as "Aunt Mol" is my greatest joy in life.
A quick note before we dive in. All the items you see here today are from small or independent businesses. The pandemic has been incredibly challenging for these mom & pop shops. Please consider supporting them instead of the retail giants like Amazon, Walmart, Target or Macy's.
Ok, let's talk about adorable things!
I squealed when I found these dinosaur-shaped crayons on Etsy. Not only are they fun and cute, but the box is the perfect size to fit inside a stocking.
A few years ago, I gave my niece this unicorn sidewalk chalk from Maisonette and she loved it! It's been my go-to gift for three year olds ever since.
Upgrade your tea party with these felt tea bags. Each one has a heart on the end of the string. How precious are these?
What would make meal time extra exciting? How about a plate shaped like a rocket ship? This Etsy shop owner is based in Ukraine, so just be sure to ask how long the ship times are.
Last week I was listening to one of my favorite podcasts, The Literary Life, and the children's book buyer for Books & Books in Miami, FL recommended a book as a holiday gift called "Everybody in the Red Brick Building." I was able to read a few pages online and this is such a great book to read out loud and with gusto!
Speaking of books at bedtime, I love giving kids patterned pajamas. There are so many designs to choose from. My current favorite is this galaxy pattern.
If you are hoping your son, daughter, nephew or niece becomes a skier or snowboarder, outfit them in an awesome winter coat like this one from Patagonia.
For even more ideas, click through the guides from years past. All of these are still wonderful.
