While I love putting together all of the themed gift guides each year, this particular guide is always my favorite. I am incredibly lucky to have a close circle of friends who enrich my life in ways I could never squeeze into one blog post. These ladies are kind, generous, supportive and the people I want to call whenever anything big happens, good or bad. I love celebrating them during the holiday season. It's one small way to show them how much I appreciate them.
Today's list is all about gifts for your BFF. The one who shares your same favorite movie and can recite all the lines, who texts you right before that big meeting or appointment to wish you good luck, who picks you up for a road trip with your favorite drink in the cup holder and who knows exactly what to say when you're spiraling. These are for her.
Let's begin with these gorgeous stone bookends with brass details from West Elm. Many of my best gals are voracious readers. We all follow each other on Goodreads and are constantly swapping books. This year, give her a beautiful way to display her favorites.
She will need something cozy to sit under while reading her next book pick (or streaming Netflix). Gift her this striped pom pom throw from Crate & Barrel.
A few years ago I gave my niece and nephews fleece blankets for Christmas. They love them and still use them anytime they watch movies as a family.
I flipped when I found these monogrammed mugs at Anthropologie. They are perfect for a coffee, tea or cocoa drinker. They remind me of the tile at Tatte Bakery, one of my favorite Boston spots.
For the cocktail queen, this hot toddy kit is a revelation! The instructions are, "Fill jar with bourbon or whiskey with aromatics inside. Seal with the lid and let sit for three days before straining over ice and your favorite mixer." Sounds like a plan to me!
If you have a bestie who is constantly traveling, this leather roll up from Mark & Graham keeps all her chords neatly stored and separated.
No more tangled headphones or phone chargers deep in the bottom of her bag. You can get the roll up monogrammed too!
About 10 years ago I had a very serious Kate Spade addiction. It's rare these days for me to feel magnetized to one of their items, but this year they have the cutest red wallet for the holiday season. If you have a friend whose wallet is on its last leg (you know who you are) gift her this one.
It also comes in a smaller, card holder size.
This last item is one I have and am totally obsessed with. In September, my mom and I were in Sephora together when we noticed this Pat McGrath lipstick trio. My mom had been wanting to try her lipstick, but was afraid to commit to the full size product, and I was just attracted to the gold sequin packaging!
We decided to buy it and split the colors. This brown lipstick (far right) has become my go-to. It's the perfect shade. It's creamy and moisturizing, and never gets on my teeth! As an added bonus, this gold packaging is outrageously fun. I want to give this to every woman I know!
