For the seventh and final installment of this year's holiday gift guide we're talking about items for your four-legged friends. Adopting Scout 18 months ago was one of the best decisions of my life and I love to spoil him rotten.
A few weeks ago (the day after Halloween) I popped into Petco for dog food and noticed all of the holiday toys were out! I was pleasantly surprised to discover a Hanukkah section, which included this rope toy ($6.39). This kind of toy is Scout's favorite - he can play tug-of-war for hours! I can't wait to give it to him on the first of the eight nights.
Many of Scout's favorite toys are from our BarkBox subscription. You can see Scout's first three boxes here - box one, box two, box three. Even if you aren't a BarkBox monthly subscriber, you can buy treats and toys through their online BarkShop. I think this mitten toy is just too cute ($8 dollars).
If your dog goes crazy for rope toys or toys with rope handles, Petco had a super adorable ornament toy this season and it's just $4.79.
In last year's holiday gift guide for pets I shared a toy that looked like a red present box with three reindeer hidden inside. This year I found another take on that hidden toy concept with this tree and present set from PoochieHeaven ($36.99).
Continuing the green and red theme, these Nylabone dental dinosaur chews are not only festive, but good for your pup! The green flavor is peppermint and the red is turkey and cranberry. Each chew helps clean teeth and control plaque and tartar build-up. These are $7.49 for a two pack on Amazon.
These next four weeks are packed with holiday parties and why should you be the only one who gets to dress up? Sprinkle your pooch with a bit of holiday flair with these reindeer collars ($15 dollars on Etsy).
Moving on from dog gift ideas, let's also talk about some sweet surprises for your cat. I think this heart sweater is just too precious. It's $24.92 on Etsy.
Perhaps your cat already has a scratching post, but do they have a scratch pad? This play on a laptop track pad cracks me up. You can get one for your favorite feline for $35 dollars on Uncommon Goods.
Finally, this is more of a gift for the cat lover than the cat, but check out these cat / reindeer leggings! These would be perfect as part of your Christmas Day or Christmas Eve outfit. These are $37 dollars per pair on Etsy.
That's a wrap! The final item in the final holiday gift guide for 2016. I hope this week's posts have helped spark some new ideas for the most important people (and pets) on your list.
If you missed any of the earlier themes, you can catch up below.
