Holiday Gift Guide 2016: For The Foodie

It's day two of the annual Pop.Bop.Shop. holiday gift guide and today we're talking about gifts for the foodies in your life. We all have those friends or family members who are adventurous cooks, marvelous bakers or home growers. This year delight them with unexpected gifts to nurture their culinary talents.

I love these whimsical measuring cups from Anthropologie. They look like something straight out of the Mad Hatter's tea party.

This set of four is $24.95.

For the improvisational cook who tosses in "a bit of this" or a "dash of that" these Kate Spade spice storage jars are a must ($25 - $30 dollars per jar). The medium size is seven inches tall and the larger size is ten inches.

Continuing the spontaneous theme, these pizza dice help you come up with new topping combinations with just a flick of the wrist. This set of nine dice is $18 dollars on Uncommon Goods.

Every chef has salt and pepper by the stove and on his or her table. Gift your favorite chef a salt and pepper set up that will impress. This duo from Uncommon Goods is made to look like fishing reels!

Now, I have saved the best for last. My dad is really into growing his own herbs and tomatoes. He even helped my sister and brother-in-law set up a home garden of their own last month. That's why I was so pumped to discover Back to the Roots, a company committed to creating, simple, sustainable, and delicious products to help kids and families reconnect with their food and how it's grown. You may actually recognize their mushroom farm, which is sold in Whole Foods.

This is too cool. You can grow organic oyster mushrooms, right in this box, in 10 days. You just open the box, mist with water and voila! A perfect gift for a budding chef.

I also think their garden-in-a-can set is a superb choice. You can grow the herbs inside (very important in the winter). This starter set comes with basil, cilantro, dill and sage.

Back to the Roots Garden

This holiday season, Back to the Roots is offering a special promotion just for Pop.Bop.Shop. readers. Enter the code PopBopShop10 to receive 10% off any gift set in the Ready to Grow collection. The promo code is active through January 31, 2017.

Hopefully with the help of today's guide, you'll have your resident foodie covered!
