I come from a long line of bargain hunters. My grandmother was known for reusing and repurposing regular household items and furniture into creative new inventions. She was also a serious coupon clipper. She passed that spirit onto my father, who is the ultimate bargain shopper. He lives for a great deal. That genetic predisposition is clearly the reason I have always loved 2nd Time Around.
For those who are not familiar, 2nd Time Around is a brand of consignment shops with over 40 locations across the U.S. Personally, I've had the best luck at the stores in Portsmouth, NH and Newton Centre, MA.
On my last trip, I managed to snag a Marc Jacobs tote, an Abercrombie leather belt, a J. Crew cardigan and a fantastic piece of costume jewelry.
