Rockport Challenge: My Daily Adventure - Summer Edition

Today's post marks my one year anniversary participating in the Rockport Challenge! You may remember, it all started when we talked wedding season style, then moved into holiday party must-haves and most recently, the importance of a versatile flat for the work day and weekend. In that time, I've amassed quite a collection of Rockport shoes!

You may have noticed I have a brand new pair, the Garden Court Perf Slide Sandal. It's that adorable plaid wedge on the left.

The minute I unboxed the Garden Court Perf Slide Sandal, I fell in love.

Looking at them fresh out of the box, I was already fantasizing about all the places I would wear them, from summer weddings to backyard BBQs.

My favorite detail is the bow across the front. It's feminine, without being too girly or flashy.

The wedges have the signature Rockport comfort, which you can see as you slide your feet into them. The ADIPRENE by adidas technology makes every step feel like walking on a cloud.

The design element that makes them feel perfect for summer is the straw-like material on the wedge. It reminds me of a woven beach mat or picnic basket.

In case you're wondering, the height of the wedge is 2.75 inches.

As with every Rockport Challenge, this edition has a theme. This round we're focusing on warm weather looks that can take you through a full day of summer adventures.

One of my favorite weekend activities in the summer here in Boston is spending all afternoon on Sunday at SoWa. SoWa combines so many of my favorite things - shopping local, farmer's markets, food trucks and sun bathing. The Garden Court Perf Slide Sandal is perfect for strolling through the rows of vendors, waiting in line at the food trucks and carrying home all my loot! I love them paired with a simple colored tee (one of the colors in the plaid pattern of the shoe), jean shorts and a crossbody bag. The last thing you need while walking around for hours is a bulky handbag.

You can shop every item in this SoWa look on Polyvore.

I think what I adore most about this particular shoe is that you can dress it up or dress it down. While the SoWa look is very casual, I can also easily see myself wearing these wedges to fancier affairs. For example, at the end of July I am going with three friends to a polo match. I have always fantasized about going to the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, but since that has yet to occur, I'm happily road tripping it with my girls to the Newport International Polo Series in Rhode Island.

To look effortlessly chic in 90 degree heat, I've paired the Garden Court Perf Slide Sandals with a flowy, army green dress from Zara, a tote big enough to carry my shades, sunscreen and snacks (that happens to match the shoes' brown leather perfectly) and a Derby-style straw hat.

The flat bottom on the shoes will hopefully keep me from falling into any divots! Only Julia Roberts can make that look graceful.

If you want to scoop up any of these polo-inspired items, you shop them on Polyvore (even the ice bucket!).

What I noticed when styling these two summer looks is that I kept feeling the urge to focus on one of the colors in the plaid pattern of the shoes (pink, purple, blue, white and green) and pull that out into the main pieces of the outfit. What's fun about that is you have five colors to play with at all times.

Now for the best part, the amazingly generous people at Rockport are offering three lucky Pop.Bop.Shop. readers a chance to win their very own pair of Garden Court Perf Slide Sandals so you can stay stylish and comfortable all summer long, no matter the adventure.

To enter the giveaway:

Leave a comment below saying which of these two summer adventure looks is your favorite - the casual or SoWa look or the dressy polo match ensemble.

Comments will be accepted until Sunday, June 14, 2015 at 11:59pm ET. The three winners will be announced on Monday, June 15, 2015.

I can't wait to hear which look you're loving.

Good luck!

Love the SoWa look!

LOVE these shoes! As you know, I have a plaid "problem". They would be absolutely perfect for stomping divots! So obviously I'm going with the polo outfit!

I love the SoWa look! So cute with jean shorts and what a way to elevate the more casual look :) Love the bow, too, and the more neutral ankle strap! Gorgeous!

I love the preppy polo look. It's hard to find height, comfort and cuteness all in one. They would be perfect for a summer wedding paired with a cotton dress.

I love the polo look! I can't always wear heels so I save them for special events. Polo matches or weddings would be great!

Probably not a shock but I LOVE that polo look!

nice job putting these looks together! I'm loving the polo look.

How can I choose just one! ? ! ! I love them both! They both look so chic and so comfy! I guess I'll choose the SoWa though as the winner for me ;)

I LOVE the polo match look!

Most definitely the Sowa look! It's casual, but chic. Perfect for city l-i-v-in!

Definitely the casual look! I love the simple tee with the shoes - such a cute combo.

Love SoWa and LOVE the look too! These shoes look so comfortable and cute at the same time.

I've become someone who goes through the shoe store and gauges the squishiness of every shoe I like before trying anything on, so I seriously appreciate this post. Love the SoWa look :).

I am more likely to wear the casual look, but I do love the classy one. I also love the bag in the first look so much that I clicked on over to the webpage and found out its on sale!

the dressy polo look.

As someone who longs to wear my jorts when my classroom is a thousand degrees in June, I have to go with the SoWa ensemble.

Polo match for the win! Both sets definitely being the shoes to life and I loved both matches but the polo one caught my attention big time!! Well done!
