Well, our dear friend Ellen DeGeneres, who you know as the world's best talk show host, an incredible philanthropist, an animal lover and a huge Scandal fan, is producing a new television show First Dates.
Ellen has produced several shows including the recent Ellen's Design Challenge and Repeat After Me. According to the casting team, this new program is "an observational documentary series that takes a peek at what happens when a couple meets for the first time and love may be in the air." The show doesn't involve any competitions, eliminations, eating of raw food or bugs (hello, Fear Factor) or Fantasy Suites.
The producers are looking for single men and women, ages 18 - 65, who are looking for love and are willing to be set up on a first date. If you're selected, production will begin in July in Chicago, IL.
The online application asks all the same questions you filled out for your Match, OkCupid or eHarmony profile, so it shouldn't be a heavy lift to put your hat in the ring.
