According to the calendar, tomorrow is the first day of the spring. Well, according to Mother Nature, it's still the dead of winter.
If you live here in Boston, you've already survived the coldest and snowiest winter in the city's history. 108.6 inches of snow to be exact.
So when I thought about the best way to mark the official beginning of spring, only one thing came to mind . . . something warm!
I am thrilled to have partnered with the American Blanket Company for today's giveaway. You may recall, in the winter of 2013 I received my first ever American Blanket Company throw and I was completely obsessed. I tried it out in every single room in the house, before eventually deciding it looked best with my charcoal gray couch.
I sit under this blanket every single night while I blog, watch TV or just veg and read trashy magazines. With all the snow days we had this winter, this blanket was practically part of my wardrobe.
While my blanket is dark (plum is the official color) I thought it would be fun to chase the winter blues away with a blanket that reminds us that spring will soon arrive (not just as a date on the calendar) so I specially requested the same blanket I have, the Supple Touch throw, in surf green.
When the blanket arrived, it came in American Blanket Company's signature white box.
I love their "Made in U.S.A." sticker on every product.
As soon as I opened the box, I could see into the future where the sun is shining, the grass is green and the flowers are blooming.
This surf green color is the perfect reminder that spring is indeed coming!
